Scottsdale golf Q's

Coming out to Scottsdale the weekend of the 20th for my fiances boss's wedding. Wedding is at a place called something at DC Ranch - knew I should have written it down. Anyway we are staying at the Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center. It says there are two golf courses either at the resort or right nearby - anyone in the area know which ones they are?

**edit - bell desk told me one is called McCormack Ranch.

Any other recomendations within a real short drive?

She has a business only function that morning which leaves me a solid 6 hours to get in a round. Well, its that, or hit Casino Arizona which is 2 miles away...

i live within a 1/4 mile of dc ranch. the scottsdale resort & conference center, not in dc ranch is a nice place. you will enjoy it.

i don't golf, bad back, but there are quite a few courses nearby.

public courses:

mc cormick ranch-which you have info on.

grayhawk--is not far from dc ranch on thompson peak parkway.

scottsdale country club--on hayden & cactus road

tournament players club of scottsdale-17020 n. hayden road--mid-point between where you are staying & dc ranch

troon north golf club--10320 e. dynamite--this is about 3 miles north of dc ranch & about 19-15 miles north from where you are staying.

if you would like get in touch with me to meet you & your fiance for a few drinks. we have plans though that sat. night, but are probably available other times.


btw, the weather here is perfect averaging about 60-65 degrees during the day & about 50-55 at night.
