Isn't it weird how the religion you subscribe to mostly depends on where you were born and what your parents believed in?

There are many foreign-born religious adherents who canceled their subscription and became followers of Jesus Christ.

I'll tell you why -

Jesus Christ is the answer.

Interesting idea, buddy.

However Christianity has been around for 2000 years, and most of the world doesn't agree, Including the residents of Jerusalem.

Yet most people agree the earth is round, even though they've never been around it.

So why is that?

To be fair, many of these (initial) converts were, historically, forced, manipulated, coerced, and tricked into adopting Christianity in the first place. So there is that.

Peace! :)

What's fair about what? No offense intended, but you seem to be terribly deceived.
Perhaps a primer in church history may enlighten you....If you're truly interested, I suggest you begin with Emperor Constantine.
The entire Roman empire was pagan until Constantine had people converted, under threat of extreme torture (a), to CATHOLICISM. They were NOT Christians. They converted to CATHOLICISM. Catholics are not followers of Jesus Christ. They adhere to the dictates of a Catholic pope. Christians follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. The first disciples to be called Christian took place in Phoenician Antioch.

(a) Google "Inquisition" and see how many times "Roman Catholic Church" appears.

This video is 31:17 in length. I like to call it "Democrat and Republican and the Catholic Pope." The moderator is Walter Veith of South Africa.

Interesting. You are able to differentiate between Christianity and Catholicism, which you deem un-Christian. OK, so if they're doing it wrong, which group is doing it right? You do realize that there are a myriad of different groups all claiming to be Christian, right?

Moreover, if you are able to apply this logic to Christianity, then why are you so certain that all of Islam is one and the same?

Peace! :)

Hmmm?

"Who is currently the best living example of a follower of Jesus?"

To be truthful and honest and from my own experience, I would say...

" I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." ~ Phillipians 3:14

What would other followers say? I don't know. Other Christians can't speak for me and I can't speak for them. It's subjective.

You should understand that being a Christian is having a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. It is not hereditary. It's a personal leap of faith.

Moreover, if you are able to apply this logic to Christianity, then why are you so certain that all of Islam is one and the same?

Are you asking how many different factions are there of Islam? If so, I would say Islam is the umbrella term for any follower who calls them self a muslim. But it's my understanding there are several different sects of Islam.
