Anyone playing this game?

SF been on a tear both offensively and defensively since the break. Bonds back in the game. Two starting pitchers who have done well of late.

Looks like a dud to me. But, there's nothing like doing a little chasing at the end of the day :moon:

One interesting thing to note is that neither pitcher has done well at night:

WIlliams night ERA is 7.0
Jarvis night ERA is 6.30

Any input is welcome

Thx

Howie

Jarvis has been lights out since his return. He has a recent start vs. the Giants and beat them by allowing only 2 ER in 7 IP and giving up only 3 hits.

Williams at home has an ERA of 2.08. He may have finally shown some chink in his armor, as the DBacks got to him for 3 runs in 5.2 innings, but he still only gave up 4 hits.

Padres are 17-33 on the road while the Giants have won 9 in a row.

Line has been steadily rising all day on the Giants.

Slight edge with the ump goes to SF as Poncino is 2-0 with big chalk at home.

Looks like a no play IMO I can't really find an edge.

One thing in regard to williams nite time ERA. All of that mess came in his first starts of the year. With the exception of the DBacks game last week,

He hasn't given up more than 1 ER in a game since Jun 21 @ Oakland where he gave up 3 in 6.1 IP.

Good Luck

Right now about 80% on SF, and 86% on the OVER so..

I like the Under.
