First of all I haven't heard anything today but as far as I know Sasaki is still in Japan. Nelson put on 15 day DL, Rhodes has been a bit overworked lately and got touched up pretty good last night. Hasegawa will probably be the closer tonight if Sasaki isn't around which I don't think he is. IF Pineiro cant get the game into the 8th inning there will be some young arms in the game for SEattle with not much major league experience.

Pineiro just converted to starter, would be very unlikely to get into the 8th inning tonight...I would say 6 -7 tops and that is if the Red Sox AREN"T hitting...
Damn this Soriano kid looks tough as nails and as confident as I have ever seen any pitcher in a major league debut. I guess in seattle they grow on trees.
Thought the same thing.Pitcher not used to starting , no bullpen .Boston as an underdog.Figured a boston win + lots of runs.Got the over barely but with sea jumping out to that early lead no pen was needed.
