I wish the players and refs would let us know before hand when they are going to massage the total one way or another. Even the announcers couldn't believe the end of this one, Orlando up by 6 points with 7 seconds left, dribbling out the clock, total at 198, when they all of a sudden decide it's time to foul. Guy makes two free throws, OK, now we're tied for the total at 200.
But no - Payton drives down the court for a layup and then the refs call a FOUL on McGrady for Christ's sake - 3 more points just to take care of the folks who got the total at 201.
Are you kidding me? I used to think that the refs didn't know the totals but now I'm not so sure.
