The pitches thrown by Stark were batting practice pitches. They had no velocity. Heck I could have hit 5for 5 off him tonite. I was watching the game and couldn't believe my eyes. His reliever was even worse. 4th inning 12 men came to plate. I think they are looking forward to the all-star break, look for the Dodgers to kick their ass tomorrow

Could Seattle be a good go-against in the second half of the year? A number of reasons make me think so:

1) The division is locked up -- .500 ball from here on out should easily win the division, and Seattle will be favored the rest of the year, probably often times big

2) The prep from here on out is for the playoffs -- trying different lineups, resting players and pitchers, etc. -- so, my guess is the focus won't be there night in and night out

My thought is they may be a good go-against for maybe the next 2 months, but then come mid-August to early September, they may crank it up again as final prep for the playoffs, so maybe going against them for the next 6 to 8 weeks might be your best bet.

Others' thoughts?

I would tend to agree with this. Although Seattle will not take a nose dive, I would look very closely at any 3 or 4 game series where Seattle has won the first two. The third game may be the game where they rest some players to avoid injuries and use a pitcher out of the bullpen to give thier rotation an extra day's rest. Should be interesting.....

If they are a big favorite everyday, they can probably go .600 ball for rest of year and you would profit by fading them. Or am I missing something?

I also agree with Tito though since I do not think I could bring myself to play against Sea every night.

I could sure play against them every night if they lost 1 of 3or4. double down, double down, double down, WIN!!! In a perfect world. Maybe play the OVERS that way too. This was my plan 2wks ago. We will see how it works. Seattle bats on fire but TEXAS had the hose last night! I agree, those were TATERS sailing over the plate, then over the wall.
