Bohica BMD closed Nov. 8 at $7.45 cdn. and $6.27 US.
believe it is up today around $7.80 cdn. anyways this stock has property in Alberta and will produce (mine ) aggregates and lime. many of the products will be sold to the operators in the Alberta oilsands for various purposes.
the stock will lose four cents a share this year and production will begin so next year they will make .05 to 10 cents a share in 2006.
the stock 52 week low .68 cents and $7.73 high.
I must say Bohica missed this stock, first heard about it at $1.60-$1.80.
then again when they did a financing in sept. at $4.
BMD and UTS are two stocks in the oil sands (related) that I missed.
also sold Connacher (share club pick suggestion) at a loss, not to painfull as invested in some other energy stocks that did well.
Bohica believe the stock is fully valued but did buy a small positon at $7 cdn. (avg. price) just because it has shown great strength.
some final points.
1. not cheap and would say fully valued.
2. raised 9 million in sept. and can raise more if needed. this is important many mining concerns have trouble raising funds. sometimes no matter how good the project may be...
3. will go in production and start having cash flow and earnings.
4. will trade often on the strength or weakness of energy sector/ oil sands. ie. if energy prices drop so will interest in the oil sands and the stock will pull back also.
of coarse would benefit if oil stays close to these prices. or go higher.
5. stock may go to the toronto index from the venture. and get more coverage and more instituions will buy the stock.
venture in Canada is mainly for small caps and specs. Toronto is the main exchange and some large penision funds can only buy from that market....in Canada....also more coverage.
anyways own a small amount, believe it is fully valued but also the stock is moving up nicely...so....
my stop loss is 25%, small position and can be volatile. that is the amount willing to lose.
hope this helps.
missed BMD, UTS energy, and sold Connacher at a loss.
thanks
