Hey Madjackers,

It's time I give up on betting!! So I need to sell my computer because I need to give myself NO ACCESS to online betting. Need to move on in life and have a great job opportunity, and am already messing it up a bit with losing to much money. I know this may not stop the betting as you can find many ways to wager these days, but it can't hurt to KILL my biggest access point. Anyone think they can give me the value of what they think my computer is worth in CDN dollars??

no idea what your computer is worth? didn't even know canada used different money than us? put it on ebay and see what its worth?

it's one thing to take a step back. but selling your computer is a little harsh.

It's one thing to give up betting, but what are you gonna do for porn?

harsh? YES, but will be working alot in the summer, and don't want to be spending any free time on the computer betting, and i WILL if i have it... + tired GA and other help, but hasn't worked... nothin' to lose trying something new...

for PORN... YES A PROBLEM, will need to get a girlfriend right away....hahaha

You have a pretty nice machine there. I would personally like a little more RAM, probably boost to 1 Gig if you're going to burn DVD's or do any graphics work.
Also, you didn't mention what software is loaded.

As a point of reference, I saw a similiar (not exact) setup offered at Fry's electronics for around $1300 new. I just built one similiar (not exact) for around $400 using discount prices from local and mail order houses plus my own labor and time.

Putting a price on a used computer is very difficult, but you have a good machine and it will serve most peoples needs.

Good luck riding yourself of the evil gambling habit. It is commendable you recogonize the frailty of the situation and are taking measures to remedy it. I understand how compulsive and time comsuming computers can be. Best of luck on your endeavor and with the sale of your computer.
