Alexander Semin is on the ice this morning, which likely means he'll return to the lineup tonight against Philly after missing the past two games with injury/illness. Also, Mike Green, who left yesterday's practice early with general soreness, is back out there and appears to be good to go.
Alex Ovechkin, meantime, is taking the morning off, according to a team official. But the two-time MVP will play tonight.
Eric Fehr and Quintin Laing are also missing. It's an optional skate, but those two don't usually take the option.
____________
Fehr, Laing sidelined tonight
Bruce Boudreau just said Alexander Semin will play tonight and confirmed that both Eric Fehr and Quintin Laing will be out. Fehr was hit hard in the rib area Saturday night and is day-to-day with an "upper body" injury; Laing has the flu (not sure which type) and was sent home.
With those two out, defenseman Tyler Sloan will be inserted as a left wing against Philly.
____________
Update:
Tonight's lineup: Flyers at Caps
Jose Theodore will start in goal for the Caps tonight and will oppose Philly's Ray Emery in the second of four meetings between the rivals at Verizon Center.
The rest of the Caps' lineup should look like this:
Forwards

Laich-Morrison-Knuble
Giroux-Aucoin-Clark
Sloan-Steckel-Bradley
Scratches: Fehr (ribs), Gordon (back)
Defense
Morrisonn-Green
Poti-Jurcina
Schultz-Pothier
Scratch: Erskine (hand)
Goal

Bad news for the Flyers: A team official just said that Simon Gagne has two small hernias in his right groin. The Flyers' medical staff will meet tomorrow to discuss all the options.
