The Senators will be without defenceman Wade Redden tonight against the Buffalo Sabres.

Redden took a twirl this morning at the club's optional skate and then said he won't be ready to return from the knee injury that has already kept him out of one game.

"It's just sore and I didn't have the power in my stride," said Redden.

Rookie defenceman Brian Lee will be in the lineup and coach Bryan Murray said this morning he will play in the rest of the club's regular season games.

"Brian Lee is playing the rest of the games unless something happens," said Murray. "Brian Lee is an NHL player from now on."

Goaltender Martin Gerber, looking for career victory 100, will make his 13th straight start in the Ottawa net.
