BEGINNING MONDAY, JULY 20

N.Y. Mets at Washington (3) 20th, 21st, 22nd
The Mets could make this a very interesting race if they were to roll into town and topple the 1st place Nationals. But the Mets are still only 6-24 on the road in night games (-$1740) while Washington has turned a modest profit in this ballpark (+$305). Wednesday?s afternoon contest could be worth a look at, but for now we?ll stick with this angle. PREFERRED: Nationals in night games.

Chicago Cubs at Cincinnati (3) 20th, 21st, 22nd
The Cubs have dominated this team in head to head play already this season (7-2, +$425) but their all-righty rotation gives us cause for concern. The Cubs are not a great offensive team (.239 team BA, 3rd lowest in the National League) and Cincinnati has been tenacious enough at home to make us back off. PREFERRED: None.

L.A. Dodgers at Atlanta (3) 20th, 21st, 22nd
The Braves dropped 2 out of 3 at Chavez Ravine earlier, but they make a tempting choice against the Dodgers here at Turner Field. Atlanta has been a big money-maker in night games at home (+$995) while the Dodgers have been killing their backers when playing on the road (-$1230), With two evening games on tap we like their chances. PREFERRED: Braves in night games.

Miami at Arizona (3) 20th, 21st, 22nd
The Diamondbacks punished this team in the first head to head series, sweeping all four games at Miami (+$520). They?ve turned a nice profit in night games here at Chase Field (+$390) and the Marlins are only 8-19 in night games on the road this year (-$880). With a real shot to climb into the NL West race, a big showing here is essential. PREFERRED: Diamondbacks in all games.

San Francisco at San Diego (3) 20th, 21st, 22nd
The Giants are having their ups and downs but they?ve managed to turn a profit on the road vs. righthanders (+$330) while the Padres have lost money vs. righthanders here at Petco Park (-$600). With all righties in the San Diego rotation we should get plenty of opportunities. PREFERRED: Giants when righty meets righty.

Seattle at Detroit (4) 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd
The Tigers have lost a fortune in night games against righthanders here at Comerica (7-13, -$925) while the Mariners check in with an 11-6 mark in night games vs. righthanders on the road (+$680). We could catch some decent underdog prices on the visitor here. PREFERRED: Mariners when righty meets righty in night games.

Tampa Bay at Philadelphia (3) 20th, 21st, 22nd
The Phillies make an appealing opponent for the Rays, who need a soft target as they look to get back on top in the AL East. Tampa Bay is 7-2 vs. lefties on the road this year (+$600) so take on any southpaw Philly offers. PREFERRED: Rays vs. lefthanders.

Pittsburgh at Kansas City (3) 20th, 21st, 22nd
The Pirates are rolling at mid-season (9-2, +$660 in their last 11) but a trip to Kaufman Stadium could be problematic. The Royals are 9-4 in inter-league play (+$500) and they?ve been very successful playing in this park (+$1015). Their strong pitching (3.50) should help them take at least 2 out of 3. PREFERRED: Royals in all games.

Texas at Colorado (3) 20th, 21st, 22nd
The Rangers need a boost after slipping below .500 in he days leading up to the All-Star Break. Playing the Rockies. who are only 1-10 vs. the AL this year (-$875) gives them hope. Colorado is only 5-14 vs. lefties in 2015 (-$790) and there?s a good chance they?ll face at least one at Coors Field. PREFERRED: Lefthanders vs. the Rockies.

BEGINNING TUESDAY, JULY 21

Baltimore at N.Y. Yankees (3) 21st, 22nd, 23rd
These teams split the first 10 they played in 2015, but this looks like an ideal spot for New York. The Orioles were floundering at the Break (2-8, -$760 last 10 days) and they own a dismal 5-18 record in night road games (-$1400). The Yanks are 18-7 in night games in the Bronx (+$580) so far. PREFERRED: Yankees in night games.

Boston at Houston (3) 21st, 22nd, 23rd
The Astros have fared well vs. righties overall (+$1035) while Boston has lost money in that situation (-$715). We like the home team here. PREFERRED: Astros when righty meets righty.

Toronto at Oakland (3) 21st, 22nd, 23rd
The Blue Jays have lost money outside of Rogers Centre (-$735) but we?re not interested in using the Athletics, a team that has lost a fortune playing here at the Coliseum (-$1710). PREFERRED: None.

Minnesota at L.A. Angels (3) 21st, 22nd, 23rd
The Angels are surging in the AL West, but Minnesota has been a solid team in 2015 and they check in with a 19-12 (+$1160) record vs. lefthanders, averaging 5.3 runs per game. Take the price when they face any LA southpaw. PREFERRED: Twins vs. lefthanders.

Cleveland at Milwaukee (2) 21st, 22nd
The Brewers are only 12-23 vs. righthanders at Miller Park (-$1465) while the Indians have amassed a nice profit in night games on the road (+$910). We?ll look for the visitor to prevail in Tuesday?s opener. PREFERRED: Righthanders vs. the Brewers in night games.

St. Louis at Chicago W. Sox (2) 21st, 22nd
The White Sox are improving (7-3, +$545 last 10 days) and they?ve turned a profit here (+$320). They are loaded with lefties, and that should help vs. a St. Louis team at averages just 3.5 runs per game vs. southpaws (--$555). PREFERRED: Lefthanders vs. the Cardinals.
