Chenks, great to see ya back

JMHO......

Quacks series at +650 is ridiculous, I already got myself a piece of that:D. They can pull an upset just like the Kings did.

The Leafs, and the B's have a good shot, too, IMHO. I think between Ana, Bos, Tor, at least one will win their series, and at least a decent chance that 2 of them will come in.

Dallas, Colorado, and Ottawa are no-brainers to me, but *cough* the chalk:eek:

I have Dallas going out in Conference Semi, also:eek:. But that's only an office pool that I did:D. Although, depending on how Turco does in his 1st playoff series, I may change my mind.

I think this is gonna be the best playoff in years for true hockey fans, a lot of intriguing match-ups. Hang on to your seatbelts, I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!:D

Chenks - How was the vacation?

Despite what HORNS posted earlier about the #7 vs. #2 seeds, I don't see the Bruins beating Brodeur. I see the B's at +200 and it might be worth a shot at maybe 1/2 unit

Maybe in a couple individual games but not the series. I will be clean shaven by April 21...:(

Washington & Tampa - I can get both at -110...I'd give the edge to the Craps as the Bolts haven't been in a playoff series in 5+ years.

Toronto vs. Philly - yuk. Thanks Aces. Leafs are hurt - they were last year too. Chekmanek - until he does it, I don't trust him

Dubber- agree that prices are way too steep- I do not think Wings will lose though- I think Dallas has a better chance of losing then the Wings-

Right now I think the Leafs or Blues can pull the first round upset.

RC- lines up at Oly-

Mugs- vacation was great, was in Maui for a week- I agree do not see the B's winning this one but anything is possible- also agree that the Bolts/Caps will be close-

right now here are my leans-

Blues
Leafs

reasons....... Probably can get both at around +150- If one wins and you lay a dime on each that is a nice $500 profit- if both win it is gravy................ Still have not dug into the matchups yet:D

One last thing.....

I think NJ and Dallas have the best value to win each of their conferences....

Reasons....

IF seeds hold up-

NJ gets Tb in Semis

Dall gets Van/Stl winner in Semis-

I think NJ and Dallas will/would get past all of these teams.

quack attack....

quack attack....

ddubs-I think it is very possible for the ducks to win that series, but not likely. The ducks play the red wings well during the past two regular seasons. (don't have any numbers right now)but i know the ducks have beat them a couple times and when they've lost it's usually been by one.

I'm definitely going to take the ducks in a couple of those games against detroit. And they should be a great price too. Game three and four are at home and the ducks had a great home record during the season (21-11-4)or something like that. I see them winning one of those two for sure.
might add the series for $20 to win 130  why not?

wings in six or seven?
or
ducks in four:eek:  that would be something

The thing with these crazy series prices is that they are made so high on the favorites on purpose. The bookies want to scare you off from laying crazy numbers, which for most people they have.

The question is will there be another Montreal or Carolina from last year. Montreal no. But Carolina possibly. Which underdog team is riding into the playoffs with a possible Vezina candidate that can carry them? Edmonton? I don't think so. Minnesota? They have played musical goalies all year long. Montreal was a very solid team last year from lines 1 - 3 and with the help of Theodore they knocked off a one seed. Can Edmonton do the same? Dallas and Edmonton know each other very well. Neither team will be caught off guard. Can Edmonton beat Dallas straight up? I don't think so again. They can't match lines offensively, and they don't match up well with goaltending or depth.

If you are looking for a suprise team look at Washington. They are laying low, but they have a goalie who has carried them at times, and they have 3 very good lines when they decided to show up and play. Don't be surprised if they make a deep run.

Is there another Carolina this year? Well thats tough to say. Carolina is a team that caught everyone off guard, and nobody believed in. I guess in that case you can say any team has a shot but I believe that Carolina had alot of luck last year. I was not sold on New Jersey last year as being a true contender that may be partially why Carolina pulled the upset.

Maybe Edmonton has what it takes? I guess we'll just wait and see.
