Seton Hall report:
The Pirates (2-7 in the Big East) suffered perhaps their most upsetting loss this season on Tuesday in a 62-61 overtime defeat against Rutgers, a game decided in the last second of overtime on a Donald Copeland foul on Quincy Douby. Replays appeared to show Copeland never touched Douby, but an ensuing foul shot put Rutgers on top nevertheless and the Pirates were beside themselves. Senior forward Andre Sweet was benched for the entire second half and overtime, while freshman guard Justin Cerasoli saw just two minutes of playing time after the half before he, too, sat. It will be interesting to see how they are used against St. John's.

St. John's report
The Red Storm (2-8 in the Big East) will be looking to prevent a three-game losing streak when it meets Seton Hall, having dropped a 55-44 decision to Pittsburgh on Tuesday for its second straight defeat. St. John's has lost eight of its past 10 games despite having one of the top scorers in the Big East, guard Daryll Hill, on its roster. Hill ranks third in the conference in scoring with 19.7 points per game and had 18 against the Panthers, but the Red Storm couldn't find a way to pull out a victory. Hill will be looking for a much better outing against the Pirates than he had on Jan. 29 in a 62-55 loss at the Garden, in which he picked up just six points.
Expected starters:
