Seton Hall -5 over Providence
These are 2 good teams going at each other tonite.Hall has so much balance with the wholw starting 5 avg in double d's.But Barrett is one of the top players in the country and he has the ball 75% of the time.He is so hard to contain. He dribble penetrates and dishes off 7 assits a game.He can stick the 3 hitting 40-89 for a 45% avg.
Sweet,Allen,Morris and Toney-el are all the same sizes]6'5 and 6'6's] and can rebound and run the floor.Whitney inside is a force.
Prov is loaded too.Not sure of status of Sanders. If he doesn't play he will be missed. He is their 2nd leading scorer and a good assit man.
Gomes is their stud.Avg 21 pts and 9 bds and shoots FT's at 87%.McGrath who looks like he belongs in a Vanilla Ice video can pass and shoot.Douthit is the human rejector with 43 blocked shots.Kabba,Kotti can all score.
SH plays a little better defense and are better rebounders.Gomes will give the Hall problems inside but Barrett is the ace.
They are 8-1 ats and I see the same thing happening.SH has a 3 or 4 pts lead in a close game with a few minits to play and probaly the best pt gd in America is playing keep away and stroking those FT's.

LSU -5 over New orleans
Lloreda tonite will be to much for the Privateers to handle. He can score big time, rebound and block shots.Bass the super frosh is everything everyone said he would be.Avg 13 pts and 8 bds with 26 blocked shots. These are 2 athletic guys inside that NO will have trouble containing. Whipple is the pt gd avg 3,5 apgs.Mitchell and Minor are 2 quick 5'10 gds.Hudson and Foundjai are 6'5 and 6'7 that can score.
This is a young team that makes mistakes.
NO's top 4 scores are gds Smith,Buggs,Meredith and McCalebb.All are under 6'3.
But Brown at 6'8 has come alive and won a few games for them.Elias and Parker are the frontline players but avg 8 pts between them.NO gds shoot 3's like there going out of style.Smith is 12-51,Buggs 26-78, and Meredith 13-38.Thats 23%,33%,and 34%. Wow.They went to the Iona shooting school.
Think LSU wins this on the road. They did lose to Houston a few weeks ago.

Seton Hall ***** if Sanders is out maybe a box or to more
LSU ***
Think Lloreda and Bass will score inside.

very true. a lot of teams have played seton hall tough for 30 or 35:00 and those fu/ckers make a late run to cover the game. been on the wrong end of a couple of those, but gotta tip my hat to the pirates for closing out games.

gl with you play box

hoops,I'll take Barrett.I love Nelson though. But I love his partner Delonte better.
I think Nelson is a better defensive player. But Barrett is so much better in shooting. And Barrett avgs almost 2 or 3 assits a game more. And I'm not sure but I think Barrett has a better assit to turnover ratio.[maybe I'm wrong but it seems like it]
I know stats really don't prove anything but Barrett has really improved and I would take him over Nelson this yr.
