" A basic reason why we return to certain restaurants and establishments is because we enjoy our interactions with the people who work there. Or, even, more specifically: one person, with whom we develop a special rapport.

There's usually one particular server -- a professional waiter, if you will -- who enhances every visit.

He doesn't know who I am or what I do for a living. He doesn't give us freebies. He simply makes us feel appreciated. We are his customers and he values that relationship -- as do we."

I'm heading to Vegas next month as I promised to take the woman to see Blue Man Group at the Luxor. I've made reservations at the Luxor Steakhouse. Any reviews or opinions?

Reviews Luxor Steakhouse

the only gourmet restaurant we went to during our
stay and we are glad we did..We were seated almost
immediatly and our server was excellent..the atmosphere
and service was excellent
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They have a wonderful piano bar just outside the
entrance. Its a great place to enjoy a drink and
listen to some excellent piano & bass music.
The lobster tail and filet combo is awesome. I really
like the new garlic mashed spuds. This is one place
you have to try for that memorable evening. The wait
staff is super and always seem to know exactly when
you need something.
...................................................................................................
Wonderful food and they treat you really special.
Don't miss this one as its truly a great steakhouse.
...................................................................................
Once seated you are presented with a nice relish
tray and crsuty hot bread with real butter served
on a plate. The fillet & lobster tail combo with a
baked spud. First though was my salad choice and
it arrived with a nice side boat filled with ranch dressing
and more hot bread. Dinner arrived not too long after
I finsihed my salad as the wait staff is very attentive and anticipate needs without being obtrusive. Steak
arrived cooked exactly to my medium rare request.
The lobster tail was popped out of its shell tableside.
The baked spud had its own plate and was served with
a silver trio cup dish filled with butter, sour cream,
and chives. Dessert was a nice plain cheesecake and
coffee though many choices are available.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We were greeted and seated promptly. Waiter was
there within seconds. Wait staff was very attentive
the entire time. Food is excellent. My wife had the
crab legs, and I had the sea bass. Both of us were
very satisfied. The two entrees and coffee came to
$85 with tip, so expect to pay well over $100 depending
on appetizers and drinks.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ohh Myy God!!! What a place to eat. The prime rib
was excellent and the Lobster was to die for. This
place is very classy and has that great service you
are looking for. Make a reservation or come early.
Dress code here. The service was outstanding.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bread and appetizers were delicious! The Maine
lobster was out of this world---HUGE, succulent,
heavenly,and- not having to remove it from the
shell was great. Got the vegetables and potatoes
served family-style, so all could try each selection.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Best Lamb I have ever had all four in party had a
delightful time.

Ate at Picasso last Valentines Day. It was pretty incredible, if you like fine dining like that, it is definitely worth your dollar.

scott,

very funny!!

is this your own list of top restaurants or did you read this in a magazine ?

i forgot i ate in emeril's in the mirage a few years ago & thought it was great.

i must not get it but i thought that the blue man group was boring. i would have walked out if it was up to me, but couldn't. i think the danny ganz show was the best vegas show that i have seen. emj, i'm sure that you will enjoy the show.

I aint never been to a one.

I just look around in the web alot for work and bump into
things of interest.

I would like to go to Emerils in New Orleans maybe this year.
I heard the crawdad soup and biscuits there was one of a kind.

Funny how you said you thought the Blue man Group was boring but wished emj to enjoy it as he also would probably not be able to leave in the company of others..... LMAO !

"Review ....Danny Gans is the "Entertainer of the year" in Las Vegas, and his award winning "Show of the Year" is the hottest ticket in town. He's being called the best singer-comedian-impressionist-actor in the business today, by entertainment critics and his peers. Audiences go wild over him. Who is he? He's Danny Gans.

Gans hadn't planned to be an entertainer. His boyhood dream was to play third base for the Dodgers, and he was, in fact, drafted by the Kansas City Royals, while he was still attending high school in California. However, a career ending injury and shifted his focus from baseball to entertainment. With the love and encouragement of his friends and family, Danny Gans has successfully made the transition. He has been blessed with a marvelous singing voice, the ability to make people laugh and a rare presence that would manifest itself in his new career."
