so lots of the punch is out of SF lineup again. But won last night off of Rueter. And batting lineup knew they had to step up with all the injuries. Can they, with Jensen, do it again?

Jensen been decent of late and issued just 2 earned runs with this ump a few weeks back.

Smith off a bad start and should be concentrated today. Maybe the under...any thoughts?

covers trends:

STL is 8-4 in their last 12 overall.
The under is 3-1 in Smith's last four starts.
The under is 6-1-1 in the last eight meetings.
The under is 11-4-2 in SF's last 17 games overall.
The under is 21-11 when the wind is 10-20 mph.
SF is 6-2 in Jensen's last eight starts.

Both pitchers haven't never pitched against the opposing team. I am leaning towards SF at this point in time. Without Bonds the team seems to rely on each other and not just him to save the day. I took StL in the first two games and SF yesterday. I think that SF will split today; but again I am on the fence at this point and waiting to see more info and look into the stats a little deeper before deciding. I will play this game because it is the only game I have on my cable today. :)

True to form, Cards battle to end
Redbirds rally from six-run deficit, make it interesting

By Chris Shuttlesworth / MLB.com

SAN FRANCISCO -- Facing the very definition of a "crafty lefty," battling some brutal shadows and staring at a six-run deficit after seven innings Wednesday, the Cardinals could have closed up shop and saved some energy for Thursday's midday series finale.

Instead, St. Louis fought back to score four runs in the final two frames and brought the tying run to the plate with one out in the ninth. While Giants closer Robb Nen struck out the last two batters to seal San Francisco's 6-4 victory, the late rally gave the Cardinals a lift heading into a game that'll mean either a split of the four-game set or a series victory for the Redbirds.

"It's good for us to see in ourselves. It shows about the character of this team," said Cardinals catcher Mike Matheny, whose two-run single in the ninth wrapped up the scoring. "This is up against a very good Giants team. Right now, we're pushing for the postseason and so are they. They're looking good, and they could be a team we see again.

"Not to even mention tomorrow. We know that tomorrow is a big game, and to go out flat and have them finish out a shutout is always a downer going into the last game of a series. When you show that you can come back and score some runs late, it shows you got life and you haven't given up, and I think that's something that can carry into the next game.".............

Jensen gave up only 1 unearned run in last start (vs LA-six hits in six innings), but team lost, and he got a no-decision.

Smith's loss in last game was first of his career.

so concentration should certainly be here for this important game.

So looking liking the under more!

My gut feeling is the Giants and Under
The "little giants" had learned how to play without the "big giants" game. Same as yesterday !!!

Well I decided. The "Little Giants" I like better than the "Big Giants" team. So:

150/100 SF -150

Good luck no matter which bet you picked. Lets get another thread going for the next game. I see alot of value in capping games this way. Look for the Oak/Ana and the Pitt/Hou threads coming up soon.
