Share Bets

I play share bets. For instance, I may bet Alabama -10 against Auburn at $30 a share. If Bama wins by 15 points I win $150 ($30 x 5). If they win by 5 points I lose $165.

Share betting focuses on the quality of your win. It's much like buying a stock.

Does anyone else on this forum bet shares. If so, lets share thoughts on systems/strategies.

I have played them with my bookie for the last 3 or 4 years. It's popular form of betting over in Europe. I look for games based on blowouts, more than who is going to beat a line. I primarily play totals. For instance, an NBA total of 197 to 209 where the favorite is 3 points or less is a good under play. Much more likely to go way under than way over the total.
