First came the hook, then came the vote of confidence.
One day after Todd McLellan yanked goaltender Antti Niemi when the Los Angeles Kings scored on three of their first four shots, the Sharks coach announced Sunday that Niemi would be back in net for Monday night's Game 6 at Staples Center.
"He is our guy," McLellan said before his team flew to Los Angeles, where the Sharks get their second chance to close out the first-round series in which they still hold a 3-2 lead. "Last year, this year -- anytime he's had a bad game, he's come back."
