Shield TV with Kodi or something else?

Get my Nvidia Shield TV this week and would love to know what to do next? Should I install apps on my own or go with a build? Is there a build that you guys would recommend? Is there something new out there that is better than Kodi? Honestly got it to watch PPV's, some sports, and movies. Just want to know where to start!

This thing is amazing! Now I understand why you guys have been talking so highly about kodi and all of the other cord cutting apps! Put a build on it and a few other live tv apps and there is almost too much to watch!
