Should Unsaved People Be Allowed To Celebrate Christmas?

A Timely and Powerful Godly Sermon by Pastor Fred Deacon of the Landover Baptist Church:

I'm sure all you Godly folks sitting in this church today know how I feel about unsaved people celebrating Christmas. But do you know how God feels about it? Well, I'm just about to tell you. It drives Him into a blood vessel popping, demon stomping rage. Ever wonder why so many folks die horrible, painful deaths in November and December each year? Well, now you know. The Lord kills them. You see, when an unsaved child sits around the tree on Christmas morning ? the same tree the baby Jesus played in front of when Mary and Joseph celebrated Christmas -- opening gifts - with each peel of the wrapper that little child is taking a whip to the Lord's back. And it pains Him so! And the Lord doesn't just get angry, my friends! ? He gets even!

Because unsaved children don't deserve any gifts, much less gifts that celebrate a Savior their parents have denounced! It's like the little tykes are going to a birthday party they weren't invited to and stealing all of the birthday boy's presents! Now, some of you yellow-bellied New Age Christians who don't go to Landover and are listening to me on your fancy satellite might be thinking, "Oh, but Jesus loves the little children." Well, I have news for you: just because a silly little song says something, don't make it so! Jesus hates children who don't flatter Him and give Him His due. In fact, the Lord gets so jealous when people don?t pay enough attention to Him that He even punishes little children for things their daddies might have done! (Exodus 20:5)

So my friends, if a 4-year-old's parents are unsaved, it is just like that little child himself spit in Jesus' eye. It don't make a lick of difference to the Lord. You doubt me? Did the Lord go around asking little babies if they wanted to "opt out" of the Great Flood? No sir! He just went right ahead and drown them little kids! God knows that sin is in the blood, and the only way to get rid of it, it to snuff out entire bloodlines. He taught us that with the Great Flood, and people still snub their noses and refuse to learn that lesson!

As True Christians, we know from the Holy Bible that unsaved folks who celebrate Christmas are committing an unforgivable sin. That's the sin of Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost (Matthew 12:31). Jesus teaches us that people who celebrate His birthday without getting His permission, are doomed to spend eternity in Hell. Even if someone who is rude enough crash Jesus? birthday party chooses to accept Him as their personal Savior later in life, they still don't get to go to Heaven. They are condemned to Hell and Jesus tells us that there is nothing He, nor His Daddy, nor anyone else can ever do about it. That's a whole lot of folks on fire, ain't it? You'd better believe that Hell is gonna be 1,000 times the size of Heaven. Friends, God is still working on Hell. He's got lots of people to roast, and they are waiting in line! Jesus promises us that He is going to pitch unsaved people into a "furnace of fire." (Matthew 13:41-42). You think the Nazis were the first ones to think of burning folks with furnaces? No, my friend ? the Lord is always one step ahead of the feeble efforts of mankind.

It might not make sense when we hear that God is going to interrupt little unsaved children from unwrapping gifts under the Christmas tree and hurl them into a pit of fire, but it's not for us to question how the Lord gets his kicks.

Since we know what God has in store for strangers who go around celebrating His birthday, it might be a good idea to show some Christian charity and do something to help them out before their fate is sealed. We already have True Christians who are lobbying Congress to put laws into effect that will prevent non-Christians from destroying their lives by celebrating Christmas. With new computer-credit-card domestic activity surveillance techniques put in place by our Bush administration, it has become a whole lot easier to track the purchase of gifts by nonbelievers. They should put these sorts of people in Jail, or fine them. Anything to deter them from making a mockery of God. It's for their own good!

I?d like to end here, by calling on our Christian children in this congregation, who hold this holiday so dear, to stand up and do something wonderful for Jesus! I will offer as a Christmas reward present, this brand new 12-guage Remington Shotgun, to the Junior High youth who reports to the Landover Baptist Police Department, the names and addresses of the most unsaved school chums they hear talking about getting Christmas presents, but have not accepted Jesus Christ as their personal playmate. I?m going to keep this shotgun right here, on the edge of the baptismal pool until next week, when we get the final tally from Deacon Chief O?Neil. The gun will then be given to the mother of the child who will wrap it, and place it with other gifts around the tree on Sunday Morning with a little note that says, ?Merry Christmas, And Fine Shooting, From Your Best Friend, Jesus Christ.?

wow. Just so all you atheists and Christianity doggers on here know, this guy is an idiot and he does not speak for the majority of Christians. Children are innocent, and Jesus does love them. Jesus loves all sinners and does not feel a "whip to his back" when an unsaved child sits around the tree. That might be one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen in print.

He was talking about 4 year old children. Since when is a 4 year old ready to make a decision about Christ?? If that 4 year old has parents who are non-believers or even believers who don't practice, is he just doomed?? Of course not. Children are innocent until they come to an age of reason where they understand and can make their own decisions.

If a 4 year old child dies in a horrific car wreck and his parents have never taken him to church (not his fault), does that mean he's going to hell?? Of course not.

This guy is a whack-job. He's probably like Haggard and has a few male prostitutes in the closet and a vial of meth in the medicine cupboard. Ridiculous.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Here's something for "pastor" Fred to munch on. By calling himself Pastor, he is wrong. Pastor is only written once in the New Testament in this scripture: And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Messiah; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Messiah." (Ephesians 4:11-13)

These 5 ministerial gifts are to equip the saints for works of service (every Chrisitian is a saint, not just those you see in Catholic churches). These ministerial gifts are often called the 5-fold ministry and were used in the New Testament Church to expand Chrisitianity. People still have these gifts, but one is not greater than another, and it is really incorrect to elevate a fellow Christian by addressing him as PASTOR. The appropriate word for fellow Christians (if you want to add something to their name) is "sister" or "brother". A "Pastor" is not set apart as leader or head of the church. "Pastor" Fred would be the first to tell you that the Pope carries no special accord from God, and that he's just in a man-made position. Likewise, so is he. All Christians are equal, and their leader is Jesus Christ, not some man named "Pastor" Fred. When Christians start following men instead of Jesus, that's where the trouble starts and they begin to believe drivel like the above story. Same thing happens when muslims start following these radical clerics instead of the teachings of mohammed.

This is a hoax

This is a hoax

I'm not sure why 'Terryray' posted this. Perhaps he/she is unaware, or just wanting to bash Christians. Regardless, this is a hoax. There is no such thing as Landover Baptist Church, at least not as it's represented through the above weblink. This is nothing more than a horribly mean-spirited website aimed at ridiculing and propagandizing against Christians. Likewise, this 'pastoral message' is a also nothing more than hateful, but also fictional, religious bigotry.

It's always amazed me why some people feel so threatened by another person's religious beliefs that they feel the need to try to lash out against it or tear it down. If 'Terryray' or anyone else feels that born-again Christians are hypocrites or idiots, you're certainly entitled to your opinion. But why try to spread malevolent lies?

I post this so that others who are genuinely unaware of the origin of this material will not be mislead or misinformed by this garbage. God does love everyone and wants us all to have eternal life.
If you have any doubts about the real content or message of the Bible, just read it for yourself.

Folks who show up at church once a week or even every day. That Makes no difference if there heart is not in right place. You have some each Sunday in my church. I'm sure there ever place. They have to show up just about time the service is stating and must walk down to very front. Are they there for show. Look here I am. Or is there heart in right place? Just a example

Just Football, I've got two words for you:

Ted Haggard,

make that four:

Jim Swaggert,

make that six:

Jim Baker:

make that a good number of the Catholic diocese around the country that foundled children and their superiors who knew about, covered it up and placed these pedophiles with other children.

make that most of the fundamentalist televangilists you watch on sunday mornings in a not so veiled attempt to emotionally plead for dollars from lonely and/or otherwise disadvantaged people.

Yeah, I wish I got into the religion business a long time ago. Its a real money maker.

See what I mean? Not believing is not the same as attacking. There are bad cops too...and bad soldiers...and bad lawyers...and bad teachers...and bad everything. Why the hate? If you're so convinced that Christians are worthless, why waste your time pounding them?

Religion is the biggest scam in the world today until the bush and cheney team started bilking billions of our tax money over in Iraq. Its close tho but at least with religion its voluntary. what they ought to do with these religions is tax em. Prolly balance the budget right there. I don't pray to someone that never answers back.

Weasal i lead a clean life so if there is this make believe guy in the sky im sure he will forgive me. Now these pricks who you so blindly support? Boy i hate to have a god if i was this scum. Oh boy judgment day for them would be a pleasure to watch. why it is so tuff for a guy like me to believe. No god could sit there and watch what is going on and not wannna join the discussion. Could you imagine if there was this big guy in the sky and he came down looked at cheney and Bush, stared at them and just jumped on his jumbo jet and flew back to where he came from? These pricks would turn into super liberals. But this never happens so i will go on believing what i do. Facts vs faith.

the biggest threat to Christianity, imho, are Christians like the aforementioned who disgrace themselves and/or rob others blindly. These actions just further the views of sponge, Eddie, et al who don't believe in God. These clowns make the news, but those of the Christian faith who support the whole economy of a country like Haiti, or send millions in relief aid to Katrina victims along with going down there to work, or run thousands of orphanages around the world, or build thousands of houses around the world, etc etc etc. I'm in no way trying to make excuses for these guys, but I am saying that these type and the media coverage of them and not the good deeds being done are very harmful. These folks will recieve their judgement in full one day.

Also, in Terry Ray's defense, I'm sure he just posted this thread for discussion and probably thought it was a real sermon. I would guess he practices some sort of Christianity, and if he doesn't, he's at least well versed in it. Maybe I'm wrong, but never took him for an atheist, and if he is, I won't think less of him. He's at least made an informed decision.

Weasal let me help you with something. People don't chop off others heads for no good reason. Lets think here there has to be something that would promote a ha-nest act like this. I like to think nobody would just fly planes into buildings unless they had a reason. Could people be this nuts? Maybe if we just got out of their business all this shit would stop. it really is simple weasl. We just go to alternative fuels and we don't have to bother with these people anymore. The problem with this tho is these jackels who you represent won't do this cause the greed is all they think about. they don't want to eat all the oil cause they see more and more money in it. If global warming is the real deal these pricks don't care. They will sell it till the last drop flops out of the spigot. By the way were is Bin Laden? Was there even a Bin laden or was that all bullshit to?
