The Siena men?s basketball team will get one guard back in uniform but lose another for Monday night?s game at Fordham.
Sophomore guard Patrick Cole will re-join the team after missing Saturday?s victory over Loyola because of the death of an aunt, according to head coach Jimmy Patsos.
Meanwhile, senior guard Hymes will practice with the team today at Seton Hall, but then take a train back to campus because he has a presentation in a class called ?contemporary critique? on Monday night, Patsos said.
?There?s only like one class left and he?s got to do a presentation,? Patsos said. ?He?s got to pass it ? Instead of making 75 plans, we just said, `Go do it. Everyone else is. Just go do what you?re supposed to do.? We?ll deal with it.?
Cole is averaging 5.3 points per game while Hymes is at 6.3 points per contest for the Saints.
Meanwhile, Fordham (1-4) has its own problems. The Rams, picked to finish last in the Atlantic-10, won?t have sophomore guard Jon Severe against Siena. Fordham announced Saturday Severe is taking a leave of absence from the program for personal reasons.
Severe made the A-10 All-Rookie team after averaging 17.3 points per game last season. He is averaging only 1.7 ppg this season.
