Is there anything more overated than signing day and ranking of the top 15 or so classes. I mean yeah if you signed the 43 best class then you probably are going to have trouble competing with the big boys over the years, but anyone that thinks there is a big difference between 1-15 especially and maybe even up a little should really go back and look at past signing days throughout the years. College is still a TEAM sport and unlike the nfl the coaches that can get good, not necessarily great players to preform as one will win in the long run. Most in this state are upset with a WR we lost to tenn late, but I am actually glad he went as he is a "me" guy. I wish him nothing but the best, but anyone that saw us play this year knows that WR is not the issue lol. Bottom line, this day has been turned into a circus that is much more about fluff than stuff for the top 15 or so. Anyone that says they can peg a kid at a 4/4.5/5 star kid at the age of 17-18 with all the different variables involved is nuts. Imperfect science at best, drummed up shit to make espn and the like more money at worst. I think yall can tell which side i'm leaning.
