Who are the teams to watch and who are the teams to ignore in your opinion....obviously the #1 seeds all have a chance and the #16s do not...im talking the teams in between

Mine-

Sleepers:
-Rhode Island- this team can play...

-Va tech- love their coach and tenacity

-Nevada- go Wolfpack

-south Carolina- coach is solid and nice core of players/vets

-ok st- they knock off l'ville and make run to elite 8

Busts:
-Louisville- I think leaves early (although favorable positioning could make me look dumb)

-mich st- not athletic or consistent (but izzo a genius in tourney so could look dumb)

- florida- they seem to find ways but have watched 3 games and not impressed

Favs: (teams to win it all)

-WVU- they are able to press like not many can and they are getting solid contributions from multiple freshman. Konate is a freshman who contributed solid minutes defensively off of the bench...i love them this year

-Butler- was never big on them until this year... wow can they play....and they can do it different ways...

-Maryland- all about gaurd play and star players...and trimble checks both boxes...he could carry them

-VA- ugly to watch at times but its a huge advantage knowing that you can score 50 and still be in every game....if their shooters lock in they could be very dangerous

Oregon- they were my champs until they lost their leading shot blocker who also is their #3 scorer...now that hes out im worried but Dillon brooks is special...

Champs:
- my first bracket had WVU losing to kentucky
Lots can change from now....

I will say Duke shouldn't be counted out....they were blessed with the easiest line they could hope for....no team should threaten them until elite 8

All just opinions

Can't trust WVU since they can't score and screwed me last year! Haha

Everyone crying foul on Wichita St. Prime spot for my Flyers to fly under the radar and cease all that talk! Scoochie Smith is the real deal!

I think the most suspect to be upset teams, obv IMO, are ND-Minnesota-Virginia-Baylor(mainly cuz they always seem to disappoint)-Kansas(round 2 or 3)....Kansas is super thin and if Lucas or Mason get in foul trouble they are toast. If they play Miami/Purdue, both those teams matchup well against Kansas. Purdue playing a freshman at PG is my primary concern. I like teams with great guards.

I think UNC/Zona got free passes to the Sweet 16....hell Zona Elite 8 for that matter.

Michigan got a unique draw. 4 games in 4 days and if they expect to win 2 games, they will go up against pressure fast paced teams who rely on turnovers. Michigan #1 in NCAA in avoiding turnovers.

Love the potential Marquette/Duke matchup with Cosch K and Wojo

Carsen Edwards is the only freshman gaurd on the Purdue roster and he has played the point absolutely zero percent of the time this year. I have watched every game.

Apparently I'm Ray Charles. And this article is fake news - https://www.fanragsports.com/news/carsen-edwards-will-continue-start-vince-edwards-purdue/

He has certainly played point and brought the ball up.

He's their most important player if they want to advance because G play I think will be their weakness against the teams they go up against to advance.

Virginia Tech coach is a nut case.

I watch most Marquette games....if you are looking at guard play....they have good guards. They are one of the top 3 point shooting teams in the NCAA (I think #1). Howard has the best 3 point field goal percentage in the countr (kid just turned 18...watch out next 3 years). Rowsey is the number 3 in the country shooting free throws. If they get the lead the team shoots free throws great.

I hear no talk about Marquette. I think they can win the first two games....if they shoot well on their 3 pointers. They actually lost about 4-5 games late that they should have won (like double digit lead with 5 to play or 5 point lead with 60 seconds left). If they win those games they are probably a 3 or 4 seed not a 10 seed. When they are on they can hit 90 points in a game.....that alone will win allot of games. I think they are a team you dont want to see in the tournament.

Who has South Carolina beat? In the SEC only 4 other teams made the tournament. They lost their only game to Kentucky, split with Florida (winning at home), lose to Arkansas and lose to Vanderbilt. So 1-4 against the top teams in the conference. They finished the season 3-6....so not exactly a hot team entering the tournament.

I watch Duke over the weekend and was not impressed. I thought they could have easily have not won the tournament. Hate that Duke seems to get all of the calls. 8 against 5 is tough to win.

While I am on the ACC.....Roy is a horrible game coach. Playing against NC is always easy.

I thought Rhode Island looked good over the weekend.

Little hometown perspective. Minnesota has good guard play....everyone and their brother is calling for the #12 seed to upset. Could happen because of the injury over the weekend but I also would not be surprised to see them win first two games either. Game is in Milwaukee which was the preferred destination .... close to home.

Addict....I see you like Oky St obviously over Michigan. I think Michigan could make a big run but now you got me thinking. Can you elaborate on that 1st round matchup and why you're not high on Michigan? Thanks

And I know Roy Williams can be bad at times, but they made it to the finals last year? Why not this year?

Last 2 times UNC/Roy lost in ACC Semi, they cut down the nets. See too little margin for error on this team though. Last years team had Berry + Paige in the backcourt...this years team has Berry and nothing else. Pinson is honestly their 2nd best ball handler.

Trendy pick with the talking "experts" though.

I really like Zona!

Im torn here to be honest

I think mich has a coaching mismatch in 90% of their games under Beilien ....he is great in game.....but underwood ran as good a program as any at S.F.A ..and i think he can run with the best of them...

I love Michigan's momentum and story right now....but they are to dependant on the 3 ball....they shoot like 25 a game....hard to make a run when your dependant on the 3 ball....one off night and you are toast...this isn't the big 10 tourney....these teams are all big boys.....mich is also fairly young and has a lot of emotions to handle after near death and then winning the big-10

The young kid Evans for okst i love....hes avging like 20 ppg and is an even better distributor ....and carroll and f-III are just as dynamic....they can match anyone's athleticism....it scares me that they are fairly short on depth but they have done it all year and i love their starting 5....

If Michigan shoots crazy high % from 3-pt land then im prolly way off...but they depend on it....ok st actually shoots a better % from 3 but doesnt need them to go down to be succesful

25 3s a game is a lot....better hope they are making them....because underwood can coach em up....

if Mich does get past ok st, pitino will have ways to force them off the 3-pt line. ..

I just think its hard to win vs top teams game after game with their style....I cant make myself take them past lville so figure worth a shot to take OK ST for the upset since i think mich loses after....i think ok st can beat lville though. Playing the odds I guess

I love Beilien so never count them out...but Ok st has 3 elite playmakers averaging 13, 15, and 19 or something crazy....and evans averages like 7 assist per as well

Well i had some right
And
Well i had some wrong

Kentucky over wvu title still possible for my bracket

South carolina and oregon as dark horses making me feel a little better about my ok state predictions being so wrong. Ok st next year is a contender with the right coach

I had Louisville as a bust and they didnt disappoint....

Rhode island i thought had one more win if they had anyone but oregon .....oregon does what URI does, only Oregon's talent is far superior

Butler i like...a lot. They are very good and underrated IMO...

Maryland and VA....ugh....whoops
