Have DSL here at office anf puter getting slower by the month despite good signal strength--

--any good programs to clean up hard drive--used to have one long ago for windows 95 that worked well--but have none since going to new windows.

Have downloaded CCleaner on someones suggestion here but either I don't know how to run it correctly or it hasn't helped.

I don't mind paying for program if it works--any suggestions from the experts?

Have you tried the simple spyware cleanes and such?

AdAware is the first thing I always try and it usually helps.

Defragment the drive recently?

Start by deleting all your bookmarks to conservative blogs, followed by closing your streaming Fox News Network Window.

Hope that helps...

Good one Chad--only thing I got running is Masters leaderboard.

P.S. didn't know there were conservative blogs.
Proof?-- run search on any political topic and see what pulls up.

Weird. I just googled 'conservative blogs' and it returned 3,650,000 results. Give it a try, Wayne, maybe you're running a different version of google than me.

I think Wayne is using the same Google software that G-Dub uses...

"THE Google."

On a related note, Wayne, my computer is a tad slower today along with you with the Masters leaderboard. Looks like Ernie is having his troubles, still.

re-set your router.

turn it off for five minutes...unplug...reboot

if cccleaner, adaware, and spbyot aren't working, this might help.

Sorry to hit you with poly-stuff in your quest for info, Wayne. Are you having trouble with your computer running slow - other software programs - or just your Internet running slow? Presuming you are running a router (as BDB mentioned) with access elsewhere in the facility?

If you've done all the clean-out stuff, it's likely a server or router issue. You could *maybe* try going to the very bottom of the lower right side of your screen where the little computers icon is for your connection. Right click on that and hit "repair'. I know I've had to do that with my wireless connection a few times.

Here's a couple lists of conservative blogs for you to look through:

Thanks BDB

The unplug did it---in past have only had to go upstairs and reboot guys computer next to router and it would solve prob--however didn't work yesterday. Unplugged router this morning and firing on all cylinders.
