Kerry Opposes Measures that Could Lower Health Care Costs

Kerry Opposes Measures that Could Lower Health Care Costs

Kerry Opposes Measures that Could Lower Health Care Costs

John Kerry has repeatedly opposed efforts to limit the medical liability lawsuits that raise health care costs by as much as $108 billion dollars each year. Instead of working to lower health care costs for families, Kerry has proposed raising taxes to pay for a government-run health care program that shifts costs to taxpayers while empowering bureaucrats in Washington. Kerry should start taking the side of patients and doctors rather than the trial lawyers who have given him more money than any senator over the past 15 years."

- Steve Schmidt, Bush-Cheney '04 Spokesman

Ray you run a small business. I assume you have a union shop and provide decent wages and health care. What Kerry wants to do to help you with your health care program for your people. Should make you want to vote for him.

Forunately there will be a lot staying at home as voting % of population has been declining--due to increase in population of (non voting constituents).

"Voter turnout rates have been dropping since 1960, although there were small increases in 1992, 1994 and 2000.
The United States average voter turnout rate of 45% for Presidential and Congressional elections between 1991 and 2000 is low in comparison with other countries, including Italy at 90%, Brazil at 76%, the United Kingdom at 72%, and Canada at 60%.
Voter turnout rates increase with age, family income, highest level of education attained, and length of time lived at current residence."

Some interesting facts from cnn exit polls in 2000--the tale of the tape.

Looks like they forgot woman. Something wrong income different then where they say class. It shows Bush 50 and up. But below in class it is Gore as you point out. And if they did break out woman and men its' a big difference. Woman were like 60 % Gore. Men were 60% Bush. No wonder we have 52% divorce rate in this country. I'm not sure if the number of folks W/O H S Degree is a high number anymore. If were talking folks 60 years and older maybe. They should have got there age. We must remember both white and black 50 years ago and back. They were not pushed to complete HS. In the south most were black and in rest of country many were from the rural families. Working for the family farm to survive was more important then education. This did start to change late 40's and into the 50's.
