time for my homer play. but wait, it's not just a homer play. it's also an 'i think fsu hasn't lived up to their potential all year (except for one game against virginia tech), so why should they start now' play.
penn state has been a team of destiny this year. they only time something has gone against them was the f--k job at the end of the michigan game. but ultimately, that didn't hurt them. they'd still be ranked #3. the only effect was the chance at the undefeated season. and michigan got their just desserts at the end of their bowl game.
fsu's offense has been pretty sad. sure, anything can happen in college football (and usually does). but obviously, you can't handicap for that. realistically, fsu will not score many points in this game. psu's defense is stacked. from hali on the d line to poz and conner at lb to all the seniors in the d backfield, they will shut down fsu's offense.
on the other side of the ball, yes i think psu will also struggle to move the ball. but eventually i think they will wear down fsu and they'll make enough plays late to pull away. my biggest concern is robinson. he's not a qb; he's a great athlete playing qb. ball security is a huge issue with him. he did seem to improve as the year went on. hopefully that will carry over to tonight.
ultimately i think psu wants this game a lot more than fsu, and that will show on the field.
PSU (-10) 3 units
Under (47) 1 unit
what? you want the final score? damn. ok, PSU 27-10.
