another massive clash of titans tonight. a mediocre wac team vs a mediocre mac team. sweet. but, as degenerate gamblers, wager on it we must.
both teams look to run the ball, averaging more yards on the ground than via the air. biggest difference that jumps out is that la tech can actually stop the run, allowing less than 3 yards per carry. northern ill? not so much. so, in theory, la tech should be able to run the ball all day, while stopping northern ill once in a while. combine that with home field advantage... should be an easy la tech win, right? well, then why did northern ill open as a favorite? i can't figure it out either. the mac was very bad this year. the line movement has me worried, but i have to go with...
