So Miss -10 over Rice *****
UConn -10.5 over UMass *****
La Tech -20.5 over UTEP ****

Back later to explain
have a few more but maybe ignore or don't play them..
I'm ....
15-2 on any play over 4 ****'s +60 thru week 8
so I lose a lot of 2-3 ***'s
I admit have been loving Rutgers,UMass and Texas St and a few more not covering...
Back in a few days and explain some of these...thinking real hard about Rutgers +7.5 over Liberty...Liberty is tougher then it seems but most RU fans knew they could only win 2 games all year..Umass which they did already and now Liberty..problem is Liberty wants to beat a name team in the Big 10 even though RU is so bad.

UConn is another bad team but UMass could be even worse.. UConn did play Houston tough last week and Huskies have a qb with a pro arm..problem is no touch...back to explain in a few days

KOD house still not sold..am heading south on Saturday to Austin for the winter...think about taking the house off the market in Dec,Jan and Feb and mid March and then putting it back on...I am by myself up here with very little furniture ...think my daughters should of waited for house to sell before they sold everything.. not going to rent it out like last 2 winters.....we lowered the price a little but its to big a house for many people...but it will sell..we just have to wait for the right people..

SMoo -13 over Houston **
Mustangs beat a solid Temple team...are they for real..I guess so...Buechele at qb is living up to his HS hype..has a new life in Dallas instead of Austin...has a good wr in Roberson and good rb...Sonny is 6-0..meanwhile Houston struggled vs UConn winning 24-17...Holgren the coach started his son who looked terrible...they did some wild cat but his son was awful..is Tune hurt because he didn't play at all...7-15 for 123 yds vs UConn a weak team..Porter is a solid rb..on defense Coogs had no pass rush on 44 attempts by Huskies qb...Coogs DB's were getting beat all day by Huskies..if Huskies qb wasn't so inaccurate he missed 4 wide open bombs..Buechele isn't going to miss those wr's...so with no pass rush,db's getting beat ,coaches son starting who can't throw think Sonny's boys win this be a few td's...

Just saw this morning that Tune the Houston starting qb had a hamstring last week and that's why he didn't play..because the coaches son who is a freshmen was so bad...so maybe will wait or pass on this game...that still doesn't say anything about the Houston defense and the offense who were actually out gained in total yds by UConn last week..but I still think that Smoo is beating teams and covering almost every game...but Coogs have a good rb in Porter but Huskies just put 8 defenders in the box and stopped him...due to the Coogs qb who was way over his head and posed no threat with his arm.. Tune has a much better arm...so lets hold on this game until now..sorry for the ...think Tune is starting..any info please post..if he is out then like Smoo

UH vs. No. 16 SMU: Five things to watch
Joseph Duarte , Houston Chronicle Oct. 23, 2019

Five things to watch as Houston plays No. 16 SMU on Thursday at TDECU Stadium:

Tune back?

All indications are that Houston sophomore quarterback Clayton Tune will make his return after being held out of last week?s game against UConn. Tune had been limited most of the past three weeks with a pulled hamstring until his return to practice this week. ?It looks like he?s a go,? coach Dana Holgorsen said early in the week. The hamstring is likely something that will require monitoring for the rest of the season and a cautious approach for the Cougars, who have few options at the position with D?Eriq King redshirting. If Tune is unable to play or is limited, Logan Holgorsen, a true freshman walk-on who won his first career start last week, is the first option. UH is also likely to continue using some form of Bryson Smith and Kyle Porter out of the wildcat formation.

Where has the deep ball gone?

The quarterback carousel has not helped, but the Cougars? inability to throw the deep ball can be traced back as far as the spring. Through the first five games, UH had just four passes that covered at least 35 yards. There has been recent improvement with six such passes in the last two games.

?It?s been perplexing because it wasn?t there in the spring,? Holgorsen said. ?It was frustrating, It was a combination of the quarterback not putting it where they needed to be putting it, timing, the receiver was not getting off coverage. The technique was not good and we have improved on it.?

Jeremy Singleton has emerged as the No. 2 option in the passing game behind Marquez Stevenson. Stevenson has catches of 45 and 50 yards, both from Bryson Smith, in the last two weeks. Also important to note: UH has just 19 completions the past two games, its lowest production since 2003.

Corral the Ponies

SMU?s explosive offense was on the field for 109 plays in a 45-21 win over Temple. If the Mustangs come anywhere close to that the Cougars are in for a long night, especially with a defense that continues to show signs of improvement but is far from a finished product. Quarterback Shane Buechele has been the catalyst behind SMU?s 7-0 start. The former Texas signal-caller has thrown for 2,122 yards with 18 touchdowns and six interceptions. He is surrounded with playmakers, among them the 1-2 receiving punch of James Proche (54 catches, 609 yards, 8 TDs) and Reggie Roberson Jr. (42 catches, 795 yards, 6 TDs) and running back Xavier Jones (751 yards, 12 TDs). Holgorsen played Texas twice when Buechele was the quarterback and recalls a "gritty and competitive kid.? When Buechele announced his decision in the offseason to transfer to SMU, Holgorsen said: ?I knew that he could be the difference in SMU?s season.? Might be a good time for the Cougars? No. 22-rated rushing attack to control the clock.

Avoid mistakes

UH has been one of the nation?s least penalized teams this season. Through seven games, UH has been penalized an average 4.9 times per game, which ranks second in the American Athletic Conference and tied for 14th nationally. UH is also coming off a turnover-free game win the 24-17 win at UConn.

Climbing the draft board

It?s been a patchwork offensive line at times this season, but the one constant has been senior Josh Jones. The 6-7, 310-pound left tackle was named to the Pro Football Focus Midseason All-American team. Just how high his stock continues to rise is evident by a recent CBS Sports NFL mock draft, which has Jones going to the Cleveland Browns with the No. 9 overall pick.

Duarte?s prediction: SMU 42, Houston 24
Season record: 4-3

:0008 I look forward to your conclusions on this game, Box. :popcorn2

Smoo -13 over Houston **
Will take the Mustangs..just got back from the casino and the line is now -14,,so I already played it at -13 and didn't add anymore...Tune is playing and that will help but Coogs defense is ranked in the mid-120's and pass def even worse...the UConn wr's were so open all game...Huskies are 1-6 and really are bad yet they out gained them by over 100 yds and had more 1st downs..Smoo has a fired up qb and has 2 wrs Roberson and Proche who I think are the 2 best wr tandem in the country with 1,400 yds and 14 td's between them..{ need to check those stats out??}they also have X Jones the leading rusher in the AAC conference..Smoo is also wearing Dallas jerseys symbolizing support for the recent tornado's that hit Dallas this week...Tune will play but if isn't 100% Holgorson's son cannot backup...Coogs have played a tough schedule but who knew their two top players decided to red shirt after a few games...think Smoo offense is so much better then Houston defense...Sonny has this team in the top 20 and its been years since the "death penalty " days ..on national tv...think he will run it up if he can...still a small play because Coogs are still athletic and quick..except in the def backfield...if these guys play defense like they did last week vs UConn who has avg wr's Smoo could win by +30

Houston's Tune was the difference..Smoo had them esp at the end on that off pass interference call...

UConn -10 over UMass ******
Huskies are 1-19 ats as a favorite...wow ...that is pretty amazing...and Edsell the Huskies coach has his press conference and it backfires on him...he was there coach a few years back..rebuilt the program..and left for Maryland...they fired him and UConn welcomed him back with open arms...but he is something like 5-20 since he came back and might be fired...in his press conf he went off about "todays players aren't focused, aren't motivated etc..phones,headphones,media,etc so he was taken to task and asked " don't the other teams players have headphones,phones,etc...maybe its your recruiting because other teams that have been beating your ass have the same unfocused players...anyway Edsell is on the hot seat..look in the mirror and take some responsibility...
Huskies did wake up and almost beat Houston who looked great last night..they lost by 7 but gained more yds and 1st downs... Huskies qb is a canadian kid who has some arm..Zergiotis ..he has 656 yds,3 tds but 5 ints...but he is a gunslinger...with great pocket awareness...not well polished and a little in accurate ...I don't think Odell could catch some of his passes...just maybe they teach him to put some "air" under the ball"..he had 4 wide open wr's last week in the Houston game and over threw them by 5-6 yds...these were about 30-40 yds passes...line drives..think this week Edsell will work on his touch...Conn rb Mensah and wr Ross could cause some big problems to the worst defense in the country.. Umass cannot stop anybody..they are also 1-6 coming off a 69-21 blowout by La Tech it was 28-0 1st qrt and 52-14 at the half...La Tech took there foot off the pedal in the 2nd half...their defense gives up 385 yds per game on the ground and another 300 in the air...there aren't many teams UConn will beat this year but think they blow out Umass..if JZ the Huskies Qb can just ease up a little think they win big...
back tomr am with the rest of the games.

So Miss -10 over Rice *****
So Miss has played some tough teams losing to Bama,Wake and Miss St.. Rice also lost to some good teams Texas,La Tech,Baylor and almost beat Army losing 14-7...but Rice in its last 2 games lost to USTA and UAB..think the difference heere is the So Miss qb.. Abraham..he can throw but I think he is one of the best ball handlers with the ball...the TV camera follows the rb but Abraham has the ball still tucked in and hidden...watching him is really nice...he has some good wr's and a solid rb...watching last yrs game So Miss won 43-24 and Abraham had 428 yds and 4 td's ...they have a big rb in Anderson and think Rice defense which is playing better until last 2 games losing to UTSA and UAB will have trouble today vs USM...So Miss losses has been to teams with much better defenses. Think the Owls will have trouble today at Rice is 0-7 ..with So Miss getting beat bad by La Tech last week think they are 3rd in Conf USA standing and trying to get bowl eligible at 4-3 over all..Rice at 0-7 is going no where..

La Tech -20.5 over UTEP *****
La can score and UTEP cannot stop anyone. La has scored 114 pts in last 2 games ..J'mar Smith probably the most underated qb in the south..he has just under 2,000 yds passing and 10 td's. With this offense UTEP cannot play catch up because there defense puts them in such a hole..and UTEP doesn't have the offense to respond. in last 6 games UTEP has lost 38-3,37-21,31-13,26-16 and 32-17...and thats vs Texas Tech,Nev,So Miss,UTSA,FIU ..there only win was vs Houston Baptis t and UTEP won 36-34...think La Tch puts about 55-66 points on the board. La Tech has won 6 in a row and the Miners lost 5 in a row...think its a blowout..

Rutgers +7.5 over Liberty **
I can't believe I'm getting off the " money train" because I have won big these past 5-6 weeks ...spent so much time on this game..but playing it lightly...RU has a 3rd string qb who cannot throw...he net yardage is last in the country..with coach getting fired top 2 players red shirting and OL that cannot block or open up holes... a defense that has been giving up30,30,52,48,35 and last week 42.. an offense that has scored 0,16,0,7,0 and 7 ...it is " rock bottom " or whats below " rock bottom"...can you go below that losing to Liberty at home..Rutgers is last in so many categories on both offense and defense.. but they are in the Big 10..they avg 11 pts per game...and that includes their 1st win vs UMass 48-7..they have a star rb in Pacheco but he see's 9 guys in the box...they also have the fastest player in the stadium in wr Mo but he has a problem... he is open but cannot catch the ball..and of course the other problem ...no one can pass it to him...things are so bad in NJ that the 4th string qb a freshmen Cole, has had reps this week with the 1st team but he wants to red shirt too...but even the Liberty coach got this kids HS tape to prepare for in case RU plays him... Liberty isn't to bad...they have Calvert a big time qb with tons of yards..they have a big time wr in Golden ..they beat Buffalo35-17,both New mexicos,...its Rutgers 150 th year playing football vs the newest member of the FBS..
I am going with the " rock bottom " trend..A Big 10 school cannot at home be laying +7.5 ...I think the Scarlet Nites come out playing way over there heads despite Liberty being a better team..on the other hand Liberty would love to beat a big name Big 10 school and put that on there resume.. I think just maybe this week Nunzio the RU coach comes up with a game plan to get a win at home...might have to play the money line here ..think they let Pacheco play wildcat since he was a HS qb,play Cole and tell him he is losing his red shirt status and freak'in get Bo in the offense...Freeze is a good coach coming from Miss St and wants to make a statement but this could be a look ahead game because Liberty has ...drum roll please ......UMass next week...one thing that does scare me today Liberty qb 's nick name is " Buckshot"...as someone said about todays game
" liberty and Farwell are the team that god blesses, and Rutgers is the team that " god hates". but lets not forget Liberty believes "that the earth is only 6,000 years old
Go Rutgers you have Ohio St Mich St and Penn St coming up.

Had a nice win with La Tech covering..Again hitting all my +4,+5 and +6 plays...should just not play any 2's and 3's..but have no discipline ...to old to change now...
Finally got on that last Dallas-Austin flight at 8.44...American gave me a $250 voucher since I had a seat on the original flight...would of probably negotiated for more but checking the football scores I was so elated it didn't matter....when I landed in Austin I called my wife just as we landed thinking she was in the cell phone lot ...she fell asleep and was still at home...after the day I had at airports since 9.00am and its now almost 10 pm I have to wait for her...unreal but she finally pulled up to the curb and picked me up .... I wasn't mad at all because La Tech won and covered .. How can you be mad ...of course I;m not sharing my joy but here...on the way home she told me
"you took this delay pretty good."...can you imagine if I had lost all day ....I would of screamed at American airlines and demanded more on my voucher..and screamed at her for making me wait another 20 minutes because you over slept..who says winning isn't the greatest

Had no chance to respond

KOD thanks for asking me about my house
Yanno ..great article about Houston,,thank you
