thats funny.

i agree with him. i hear and understand the argument that 2 teams in 1 conference could be the best in the country, but with 1 game takes all (different IMO if there's a full playoff), what advantage does LSU have at this point for winning @ Tuscaloosa...they get to play another game against UGA? and if they were to somehow lose that one, is it 2 teams that didnt win their conference that play for the title?

and if Bama beats LSU in the title game, how pissed are Tiger fans..

all seems kind of silly to me..but what do i konw...

Lsu is getting played like a suede condom here. Tougher schedule, have to play an extra game, beat bama now has to beat them again? Its bullshit! If Lsu does win they go down as one of the greatest of all time'

The whole system is at fault here. Look at it from this perspective:

LSU has to play a Georgia team that is clicking on all cylinders right now. That is their reward for beating Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama's punishment for losing at home? An extra week off to prepare for the BCS title game.

LSU risks getting someone injured while Bama gets healthy.

The more and more I think about it though, after watching both teams play this past weekend, it won't matter. LSU will be basically playing a home game on a much faster track, and I think their speed beats Bama.

Still a fawked up system

Who argued for their team to go the championship game by stating......

"I look at a team that hasn't lost a game in regulation. There has not been a team that has beaten us in 60 minutes."

Not taking a side here and yes they were in different conferences but remember in '96 when FL State bet Florida in the regular season and then Florida beat FL State in the Championship, they didn't split the NC. I cant remember what i did yesterday so I was wondering if FL State made the same argument. Again, not starting anything, i seriously cant remember:shrug:

I think Saban was 100% correct when he made this statement... and Alabama should not go the BCS championship.. no matter what.

I thought Alabama outplayed Lsu in their game in Tuscaloosa... had many more scoring chances than Lsu... but their 'bama qb is average at best, and their fg kickers are below average, so they lost.

Obviously both of these teams have outstanding defenses... no doubt.

I believe BCS Champs should be 2 tms from different conferences... no matter what... justa like Coach Saban (who I respect greatly as a coach).

I know there will be many differing opinions....
I know SEC has the strongest conference in football... I get it.
But Alabama had their chance... if it was the 1st or 2nd conference gm of the season then maybe a rematch... but it wasn't.

Personally, I'd rather see Okla St... if they get past Oklahoma.

It's only 2 cents... Justa my personal opinion... try not to hate me or call me nasty names for not agreeing with you, and I promise I'll be polite and mature too :0074

last time I checked, the powers that be don't ask me for input before making their decision... guess that's how these chat rooms all came to be.. right??
air your opinions... no matter how wrong or distorted they may be!!

so u guys wanting a rematch will probably get your wish.. either way, I'll try not to lose any sleep over it!

and if they play again... I'd take Alabama.... so that means the smart money will be on Lsu. :D

whatever U play... :toast:

ps.... justa to get it all out of my system.... and for open forum discussion's sake...

here's teams I think could give Lsu a game and maybe win:
*Bama.. we'll probably see this one..
*USC... if only jim tressel would've been their coach they'd never have missed a bowl game!
*Okla St.. my best hope
*Stanford (I like 'em but... non-conf champ tho :( )
*Oregon.. loss to Usc killed their chance..
*Wisconsin.. great qb.. would love to see these lines match up

So.. if bama wouldn't be allowed to play them, I'd like to see one of these... if any lose this wk they're out lol

we'll find out about Georgia this week...

teams I don't think would have a chance vs Lsu:
*Virginia Tech.. overrated
*Anyone from the Big East
*Boise St... think qb moore is great, but line would be overmatched I think..
*Houston.. tho they are better than I thought..
*Kans St.. nope
*So. Carolina... (but I do like their running qb)
*Michigan St.... overrated.. but pretty good qb
*Michigan.. race to the qb for lsu's def line
*Oklahoma.. maybe before the injuries.. not now

okay.. obviously I have too much time this evening!

glta!
