Socialists for Kerry

Well, now we know at least one of the mysterious "foreign leaders" that supposedly want Kerry to win the election:

London's outspoken mayor Ken Livingstone, facing a re-election bid next week, made an impassioned plea to US voters come November to remove President George W. Bush.

"What I want is the people of America to get rid of him," he told BBC radio.

"If Bush is re-elected, the impact -- forget foreign policy issues -- the impact on the environment is devastating," he said.

Livingstone, 58, a self-described socialist, is running for re-election on June 10 as a Labour party candidate, having rejoined the party after being thrown out in 2000 after announcing his run for mayor, in opposition to Labour's own choice for the post.

The vehemently anti-war politician, dubbed "Red Ken" by Britain's tabloid press, has previously hit out against Bush, calling him last November "the greatest threat to human life on this planet that we've most probably ever seen".

So there you go, the international socialist crowd is all for Kerry. Well, he sounds more like an Anybody But Bush guy, which seems to be about as enthusiastic as anyone gets for Kerry. Is it possible to win a presidential election like that? I guess we'll find out.
