greetings mj brothers in arms. while i have been lurking around a lot this season, haven't been posting much as this year i've been having some success with some convoluted systems playing a 1st and 2nd half betting pattern that really doesn't lend itself to easily posting plays. in any event, this is the time of year where i closely follow the southern conference teams. in february the conference teams always follow a schedule that falls into some rigorous road schedules that produces some nice fade situations for teams facing their 3rd conference road game in a week. today there are 3 games that fit this profile:

705-706 furman -9 @ the citadel: in years past i probably would have loaded up on the citadel but this year the paladins (my favorite ncaa nickname) have found a road game after struggling for years away from their home court. this week they've notched 2 tough road wins in greensboro and macon, which leads me to believe they'll fall a little short today in charleston.

717-18 wofford @ mercer -3-: my favorite play of the day on mercer minus the points. the terriers have had the toughest week of travel, upset last saturday in cullowhee in the mountains of north carolina, the on thursday winning a track meet with the citadel in charleston, and now down to macon ga to play mercer on a very tough bulldog home court. mercer plays with revenge for a little icing on the cake.

719-720 western carolina @ tenn chattanooga -19-: i see the catamounts (2nd favorite nickname) getting steamrolled today. western one of the thinner teams in the league, has already been thumped twice this week, by 15 @ mercer and 19 @ samford, now end the week at one of the toughest venues in the conference.

i'll probably play the citadel in the first half only. the two favs i'll play in the 1st half and, if they don't cover, i'll look to double up in the 2nd half.

What's your take on UM @ NCst ?
I don't think UM should be favored here...

T this is a game between my two alma maters. normally i would lean state here but i refuse to play on the wolfpack until they attempt to play some semblance of team defense, which currently is a foreign concept to them.

Yeah, loophole, our defense is just beyond dreadful right now. I said after the big Duke win that I could see us losing out. Today may be our best chance at another ACC win. Such a disappointing season.

i feel the pain wufdude. pack puts a lot of individual talent on the floor but no team cohesion at all. i'm disappointed in the coaching to say the least.

as to furman above, pretty impressive they came out and hung 57 1st half points on the citadel playing in this spot. just as impressed with the paladin's coaching as i am disappointed in the pack's. furman looks to be a force to reckoned with in the socon tournament.

I took NcSt 1h and they looked so good I couldn't take Miami 2h...But you were spot on...They should have easily won that game.
