This is how Repubs "support the Troops". All soldiers who have non-GI body armor must turn it in or face jail time/discharge. Families would not had have to send body armor to love ones in Iraq if the Bush government had supplied the troops with what they needed to fight the war. It is almost 3 years and the army still does not have the equiptment they need to protect themselves. Bush has got a big pair to go to a military base and give a speech about how he is behind them. Military bases is nothing more than rent a crowd for a photo op. Some of this armor cost upwards to $6,000.00. I bet the company that sells armor to the US government bitched about families senting armor to Iraq. Maybe a government Repub has stock in the company and doesn't like how the bottom line looks with families suppling armor.
