another day done in wonderful baghdad... still sucks here, even though i love this army life. work is going as good as it can, just missing my girl like crazy. She's been so awesome to me. Getting all of the planning done for our wedding while I'm over here has kept her busy enough- not to mention the planning for the baby (so awesome!) i should be going to florida in may to get married (God willing the army won't screw up my leave dates) It's crazy that I missed this place so much. I know that I'll never be able to explain it to most people but Baghdad has kind of become my home. as much as a home becomes a part of you... it is the same with this crap house.
anyway i am doing good, despite what the news may be saying. this place does seem to be improving. houses are being built all over baghdad and a lot of the streets are finally getting repaired and the thrash is being removed... should eventually cause the number of ied's to drop... (yeah right) the whole civil war bullshit hasn't gotten as bad as the news probably shows...
sorry i don't have the time for a proper rant.. at least one or two pages. i love you guys. as always i got a list of some crap i could use over here: more healthy snacks (banana chips/trailmix) fruit snacks, tuna snack packs, and lots of beef jerky- i'm trying not to eat MRE's on mission too much. I also need a couple of bottles of Old Spice Red Zone Body Wash, Garnier Fructis Shampoo, and Old Spice High Endurance Deodorant. Please don't send like a thousand boxes of random ass soaps like most families try to. We can get all of that stuff here. I just like the good stuff
I love you guys... the support from you all made one deployment fly by. I pray for you all daily and can't wait until I am home again. Sgt Andy Piazza 1/463rd MP
