Mets under(8) looks to be a solid play for this afternoon. Both pitchers DEmpster and Rusch have been pitching tremendous baseball over the last month . Rusch era in his last 6 starts is 1.63 averaging 6 2/3 innings and Dempster in his last 6 starts is 2.78. Plus you get the lefty vs Floyd match-up and the power righy vs the Mets strength(Piazza). Like the Mets as well but the under looks like a POD for me. Thoughts ????

I agree with the under as well, but feel Fla. might get a few more key hits today, just a feeling I have, nothing to really back the theory.

Canadian Ryan Dempster ( 10-8 4.28 ERA ) is out to make it 5 in a row vs the Mets. His L2 have not been overly impressive but he has held his own giving up 4 runs over 14.1 innings. Mets go with Rusch ( 5-5 5.60 ERA ) in this one. He has been solid his L2 giving up a single run over 13.2 innings of work. Trend play here with Dempster being 4-1 ( 4 in a row ) life time vs Mets and Rusch being 1-3 vs Florida.

I saw that Relaford may be behind the plate today, which would lean on the under as well. Any idea if Piazza will sit out today? If he does that will make the under and FL look even more attractive.
