Childress is not off to a very good start this year, with Harvick 10th in points, Jeff Green 27th and Robby Gordon 19th.

But...

RCR had a pretty good Daytona this year with Jeff Green taking the pole (out by accident), K. Harvick snagging a 3rd and R. Gordon grabbing a sixth.

So, right now J. Green and R. Gordon are 35-1 against winning it and Harvick is 18-1. If J. Green qualifies like he did at Daytona, that's going to drop like a stone, too.

Meanwhile, Junior and Waltrip are 3-1 and 4-1 with Busch and Kenseth at roughly 8-1.

No plays yet, but I'm taking a good look at making a play on all three Childress drivers to come in top 3 (about 7-1 on Green and Gordon and 3-1 on Harvick). I'll also throw in a hedge on Junior winning it all and root against Waltrip all day.

If Tony Stewart can qualify in the top ten. I think he has a shot at winning. He finished second three of the last four races having an accident in the other. Stewart has a little edge this year at Talladeega switching to Chevy. Odds on Stewart are around 13-1.

I'll look for him after qualifying. He's been real consistent this year.

I really wanted to get something down on Green and R. Gordon BEFORE qualifying because they qualified 1st and 3rd at Daytona. If that happens again, goodbye 35-1.

Got in last night (at SIA) on Green to come in top 3 at +800, Gordon top 3 at+800 and Harvick top 3 at +460.

I still think Junior's been pushing a little too much this year and looked crappy at Daytona when everyone thought he'd win. But he was strong during speedweek down there and has been pretty consistent since the first couple weeks.
