You are down 14 with 20 minutes to go and you burn a timeout to save one possession? I think those timeouts (a) should never be allowed and (b) are almost always a bad decision, but every announcer disagrees.

PS That Seth Davis on halftime (Puke grad) is an idiot too. He says Mizzou should get in because Air Force lost to Belmont. UHHHH Mizzou lost to Belmont......at home!

youre right- 90% of the time those timeouts are a waste. believe it or not, i can actually see that timeout by greer as a good one, simply because its the initial possession of the 2h when youre trying to play catchup. dont really want to start the 2h with a turnover. more psychological than anything else. that being said, i doubt that thought process went through his mind

im ambivalent when it comes to air forces at large chances. part of me says theyre deserving part of me says they should stay home. lean more toward including them, although some of these upsets are taking bids away

Oh I am ambivalent too about AF but just pointing out the silliness. I think they get in - they won that league by 2 games and never has the regular season champ not made it. But, they have an easy way out thanks to the Pan-Am loss.
