I am admittedly not very good at capping football, but a few of these I just dont get. Someone help me understand.

clem -10 vs GT------This is the same GT that just lost by 20+ to Middle Tennessee State, no?

Penn St -4 vs Northwestern-------Northwestern is off to one of the best starts in school history and penn st is well, going through what they are going through.

FSU -13.5 vs NC st.-----------They were giving that up to Clemson, dont give a shit that its at state, this makes no sense.

Mich -3 vs Purdue---------I would imagine this will be the squarest play of the weekend.

Virginia Tech +4 vs NC--------

A couple that I would just like others opinions on are also below. I dont necessarily think the lines are off in these, just like to hear what others think as I have some pretty strong leans on these early:toast:

LSU -3.5 vs Fla

South Carolina -2.5 vs UGA

Clemson has failed to get any respect from the linesmaker or the betting public to date as last week they opened at -9.5 and went down to -7 albeit with reports of illness affecting the team.

GT failed to show up against MTS and paid for it in a game, in which, they were dominated physically. Clemson is not as physical but, makes up for that with speed.

Give them a competent kicker and PS could be undefeated. They manhadled Illinois but, so has everyone else so probably too much emphasis in their performance in that game. Lack of depth should catch up to them at some point and I'll be checking their injury report.

I liked how NCSt held it together versus Miami and actually came back late to tie. Hopefully this line crosses 14.

I like Florida and S Carolina. Florida had a wee to prepare and, unless LSU is hiding their A game on both offense and defense, they are very over-rated.

S Carolina is the best team I have seen other than Alabama. I think they got a wake-up call at Kentucky and they have a great defense to counter GA...somethng the Bulldogs have not encoutered yet this year.

FYI...in early looks I like Syracuse, Air Force, Tulsa and Miami, FLA.

Good luck.

Completely agree on the Purdue game.......line looks FAR too good to be true!!

PSU falls into the unranked home fav over a ranked opponent. I still like NW though.

agree with you on the FSU and Michigan games.

Northwestern is slowly gaining momentum/pub, but look at their schedule. Their FBS opponents have a total of 1 victory over another FBS school, and that is Idiana over UMass (1st year in FBS).

I have seen Northwestern in person and while their offense is humming and they have multiple weapons and are successfully rotating QB's, their Defense is really slow and will give up a ton of yards and points in conference play.

If you have not noticed, Clemson has a absolutely brutal defense. I'm not saying take NCST. Clemson was only a 7 point favorite on the road against a very weak BC, so the line seems high to me.

After watching NCST/UM game last week, I can't bet on NCST against any team with a semblance of a passing game. Worst secondary I've ever seen in my life and that's saying a lot considering I've been forced to watch Auburn games the last 3 years

Hmm, did you see the Baylor-West Virginia game?

SC - GA South Carolina has won the last two meetings. Connor Shaw is a better QB than Garcia was (12-1) as a starter. Shaw is completing 78% of his passes this year. The Georgia defense couldn't stop Lattimore the last two years and now you add a running QB to the mix?

The SC defense is nasty. Murray has been turnover prone against good defenses. Clowney and Taylor may be the best DE combo in the country. On third down plays SC has 4 DE in the game. They are #2 in the country in sacks with 22. Ga has 8.

Ga is also 1 of the most penalized teams in the NCAA this year(90th). SC is 20th.

If Ga can't disrupt Shaw it will be a long day for Ga.

Yes I watched that game.

Baylor offense and WV offense are lightyears ahead of Miami. They were working the ball down the field all game. Both QBs were on the money. Both defenses tried to play bend don't break D.

Miami got lucky against NCST. Call it that or call it NCST having the worst secondary in the country. I'm okay with either of them. UM QB completed a hair over 50% of his passes. Had several plays where they were obvious passing downs and no trickeration at all and the UM WR was just wide the hell open.

This includes the hail mary, yes hail mary where a WR was 5 yards behind 3 different defenders, who HAD to be playing prevent and were just terrible at it.

I think ND is about to send UM back down to the panhandle with a D in their ass this weekend
