If you have followed me over the years you have heard me say "Don't play a dog getting less than 5 points unless you think they can win su". I made that statement again less than a week ago. Since I have a little time on my hands today, I thouht I would run the six games that are being played today just to prove my point. I only counted where the twelve teams were the dog getting 4' or less. pk's didn't count. Turns out, there were 64 games and they broke down this way.

Won su and pulled the line (had to if they were the dog)
29
Lost su and didn't pull the line
29
Lost su and did pull the line
5
Total--58-5

Two things become pretty obvious. All you have to do is pick the winner and if you are going to play the dog getting less than 5 then (if you can) you are better off playing the money line. Good luck on your plays.

Interesting info. It seems like I must have played all 5 of the favorites that won and didn't cover!

Thanks for posting. Much appreciated.

heleanth, this only applies to the 12 teams playing today and their last 30 games. Still, there is probably someone out there that had all 5 of the losers. :D

whats the $$ on that stat.....may surprise you...

taking the points may be worth it with $$ in mind.....

also the margin is very statistically insignificant
