UNC lost their last 2 Bowl games and Trubiski is going pro along with one other player, McCaffrey for Stanford also going pro, Stanford had trouble during the season vs UNC type offense and Sun Bowl typically favors the dog because the dog wants to be there and the fav usually got passed over for a better bowl game.

Major QB advantage for UNC. This being stated, UNC is also difficult to figure as they have some nice wins like Florida State, but ugly losses to NC State, Duke, etc.
I think Carolina will be ready after what happened last year vs Baylor and more importantly, after that pathetic NC State loss.
I think this game will be a shootout....definitely take the Over.
Carolina's offense is very potent but I think the biggest trouble with that offense last few weeks was the season-ending injury to Mack Hollins. He was the deep threat to go along with a big guy in Bug Howard...possession guy in Austin Proehl...and just all around great (sort of a Welker type) in Switzer.
With all those WR's and Hood in the backfield.....and Trubiski at QB....just an absolute potent offense. I knew Hollins going down would hurt but I didn't know just how much. Hood is a key part too and he has been injured a little over the season. The defense has played some bend but don't break games but has looked bad at times too.
I'm biased but I absolutely love this team and really thought they had a shot at the ACC title. The hurricane didn't help them against Va Tech but man...all they had to do was beat Duke and State and they lost to both.
Anyhoo---just rambling...one of my fav Carolina teams ever. I think Carolina puts up points and does the bend but don't break on defense and comes away with a win....49-38
