i was going to play okla., but read the following:

tex. tech is 14-1 ats in their last home game, 17-3 ats at home off a su loss & 15-0 ats as dogs off a su loss.

tt is playing with a 60-15 loss revenge of last year to okla., beat ou in 2001 at home & is averaging 46 pts. per game this year.

ou is 7-46 ats when they allow 20 or more points.

i will pass on this game.

good luck

i love stoops and his ability to get his guys up for the big game, but that number is awfully high to just assume that okie will roll over tech on the raiders own carpet. theyve put up some eye-popping numbers at home this year. clearly, this is likely to be a game where okie's physicalness and tech lackthereof will probably show up. but tech is capable of hanging around. saw some guys post that tech might have a hangover from the texas game. normally that would be the case, but i doubt they will have trouble getting up for the best team in the country. ill probably wait to grab tech for the 2h quite honestly. i think okie will be up 17-20 at half and then i think the raiders will hang in the 2h. jmo

i doubt stoops would leave ou for u of az. that makes no sense. he would either take a more prestigious program or the nfl.

Mike Stoops not Bob Stoops. Mike is Bob's brother and is the D-Coordinator.

More presitigious program? Don't get me wrong UofA fawking BLOWS right now but we were a top 3 team and pre-season #1 team like 3 years ago, plus the PAC-10 is no joke of a conference. I see Stoops coming in then leaving for a bigger program, say SEC school, thats why I'd like to see Dan Hawkins of Boise St who would probably stay around longer.

Take these links for what there worth...

OU site= http://mb7.theinsiders.com/fouinsiderfrm1.showMessage?topicID=55011.topic

UofA site= http://forum.goazcats.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9707

Don't judge me because of my Avatar but its all but a done deal that Stoops is coming to Tucson. Personally I'd like to see Dan Hawkins, but ever since Mackovic was canned, UofA A.D. Jim Livengood has been hot on the trail of Stoops.

sorry about the mix up. don't get me wrong i think u of a has an excellent sports program.olsen & the coach before mac, forgot his name, do & did an excellent job of bringing u of a's program to national attention. but other than usc & ucla, the pac 10 is not looked as favorable to the nation as the other big conferences. that is why i didn't think bob stoops would leave ou for u ofa.imo, he may leave for a top sec, acc, or big 10 programs. i think his brother would jump at the chance to coach az.

Seems pretty certain that Mike will go. In the Daily Oklahoman this morning Bob made statements of "if Mike were to go he would still be involved in the teams Big 12 preperation and also in the national championship prep." Sounds to me that Arizona wil make an offer close to this weekend and that TTech will be his last official game.

OU has only had 1 straight up loss to TTech and that was in '99. Over the last 5 years, OU is 3-2 ATS and under Stoops they are 2-2 ATS with the last 2 games being easy covers.

2001 7 points fav. won 30-13@ TTech
2002 13 pt fav. won 60-15 @ Norman
2003 19 pt fav. ????? 62-3 :D

The goal all week for the defense has been to keep Symonns out of the record book and not let him get his 84 yds......

This game reminds of the Iowa St. game last year when the talk was about Sennaca Wallace's big passing threat.

OU 49 ISU 3

ISU had 60 total yds of offense.

TTech scored on a punt return and late in the 4th qtr against subs last year.

Look for the Sooners to roll!

Something to ponder. OU's defense is one of the best and far better than Texas' D. Do you really think they won't get to Symons? One pop and Symons could be done for the day. JMHO.

Hey Jaycadd, one quick question for ya. Will Venables get the defensive coord job solo if Mike leaves? Didn't know if any reports in the Daily speculated on that stuff.

Stoops said that Venables would take over the position and that he would help with the DB's until next year.

Also said that Mike's help in the post season would be IF he had time and completely on a consultant basis. I think Bob want's him there in some way if they win a national championship to get some recognition.

Have to throw Stanford in there with USC and UCLA - even though football may be down right now they are a national powerhouse in so many sports.
