I have to bad-mouth the 2 racebooks that are advertising on this website......

I was ready to plug my money in there and thank God I read the freakin guidelines before I did.

They pay a measley 300-1 on all exotic wagers!!!!!

So if I hit a trifecta for 2$ and it hits for 5,000.....i get 600 of it, LOL!!!!!!

Thanks but no thanks......if that floats someones boat out there then by all means join up, but these guys are making a killing!

You have to really be careful with these types of outfits I guess....

If I am way off base here, I apologize, but I think I am not the only one looking for a way to not have to travel to the track to place bets today. These are not good options......

The majority of off-shore outfits as well as most locals will limit the payoffs in that fashion so I'm not sure I would hold that against the books you mention, it's common practice. I would suggest shopping elsewhere though as there are MANY legal US based books that will pay you true track odds on every bet you make as well as give rebates based on what you play. There is a use for books like the above listed though, if you play at a smaller track where the handle is not very high on a daily bases and you bet a decent amount of money on a horse to win then you would certainly benefit from putting you money offshore and thus avoiding putting it in the pool and affecting the odds of your horse, those shops definatly have a place to me.

I may be wrong but I think maybe they limit these big payoffs because they aren't getting the same pool of bettors that generated the odds that they are giving out? If that makes sense.

Half the books listed here will cap payouts on their parlays and teasers - the sports version of the exotic - including the two books that sponsored the football contests. So dont play dog parlays there or you are giving money away. Its greed pure and simple.

Some people will defend this practice, and thats fine. My only advice is to shop around. I think last time I checked Pinnacle did not cap their race payouts, though dont quote me on that. I know they do have a great race interface.

Dont get me started on Blue Marlin....
