What makes a book better for Dogs? I have tried to justify better lines, but wouldn't that hold true on both ends?

I guess I am just missing something.

Thanks

Can't answer that directly, (maybe I don't really understand the question), but here's something I found quite interesting -

Back in May I began to notice that dogs seemed to be hot when there were significant variations in the lines between books.
The books involved were Game Day, TWS, and Aces Gold.
The dogs seemed to be especially hot when the best line was found at Game day.

I tracked this through June and here's what happened -

Game day dogs 13-8, +9.03u.
TWS, AG dogs 2-4, -1.79u.
Total 15-12, +7.24u.

I suppose folklore might say that somebody who knows something was pounding those plays at TWS & AG.
Dunno if I believe in that stuff.
I'll also admit that this ain't exactly a huge sample.
Interesting, though.

aces gold--no juice on friday
gameday--no juice on wednesday
tws--5% juice all the time
infinity--best for parlay players
millennium--best for teaser players
vip--great for dog players
sportsinteraction--great for dog players

wwts--one of the biggest and best
cris--one of the biggest and best
grand central--must have
camelot--fast software
wagerstreet--fast software

This was a quote in another thread about sportsbooks. I don't understand how one book can be better for dogs than another. Do more people play the favorites with these books--thus driving the lines up for dogs?

I don't get it.

Thanks,

Sportsinteraction.com is terrific for dog players because they shade their lines big in anticipation of favorite bettors. Their limits are pretty low so they don't get hit with a lot of "Wise Guy" action. It is easy to find 1 and even 1 1/2 point differences in spreads between them and say CRIS or Olympic.

On money lines they are really a good place to play. I got Cinn at +195 with them last night and if I had chosen to I could have bet the other side of that game (Atlanta) at -180 several places. Do that for five hundred bucks on each side (that is the limit on MLB sides at Sportsinteraction) and now you have a wager of 0 to win 75 dollars on the Reds. I wanted more than that on the Reds so I didn't try to play games. Just got the best price.

Sportsbook managers change from season to season alot of the times at offshores..not always the case ...and we will have to wait and see if the above offshores mentioned stay true to course of last season of sitting on key numbers longer or giving 1/2 pts off key numbers when other books are raising juice...opening to the high side has been the case in the past.
