Just a heads up, Bruce & the full E Stret Band are scheduled to perform on the Toaday show on Friday AM.
They will do some stuff from theie new CD, Magic, and word has it they mat throw in a couple of old tunes as well.
I have heard a sneak preview of the new CD. The single from it, Radio Nowhere is a full blown rocker, reminiscent of their old sound, not like his past 2 solo efforts. The rest is pretty upbeat, also, with a couple of dirge type tunes included.
The E Streeters are in great form.

Enjoy................

I guess not too many here were interested, jusging by the reads. I thought it was very enjoyable & impressive in the sense that many in the audience were singing along to the new songs, word for word..................even tho they haven't even been released yet.

Going to see the Boss at the Continental Arena on October 10th. General Admission floor, my 26th time seeing Bruce. So many albums but he still gets back to his roots when he comes to Jersey. Don't think I've ever seen that many people for a Today show performance.

Great, Flipper, I know you'll have a great time. Wish I was going with you ! Your 26 times overshadows me by about 10. Someone in the NE has that advantage, he plays all over the place there. Not so often in Fla, especially S Fla.

Was lucky enough to have General Admission "seats" for Bruce at The Arena Wednesday Nite. Went to the Arena early to get my General Admission wristband between 2-5 PM with the hope of being one of the 400 people that get to see him from less than 25 feet away. Of course with my luck missed the # by 25 people so the wife and I went back to party in the parking lot. The 4 of us go in and the standing General Admission is packed and we really can't see anythng from our vantage point except the tops of their heads on stage. About 4 songs in, my wife and I leave my friend and his wife to save our "spots" on the floor and head out for 4 beers. After we come off the line, a security guard comes over and I'm thinking we're in trouble for doing something stupid and he's got another guy with him and the dude asks us if we'd like to go the front of the arena in a little area 10 feet from the stage. We pretty much didn't even let him finish his sentence and he slapped a pit bracelet on the 2 of us and off we went. Couldn't believe my eyes but we were 10 feet from the left end of the stage right were Clarence was playing his sax. Bruce came bopping over every once in a while, I leaned over to my wife and told her no matter what happens after tonight I could go to my grave happy after seeing The Boss that close. Guess it's a Jersey thing

It took 26 concerts but I finally got there. Don't know how to post a pic on here but I'd love to share it.

Back in "85 for the Born In The USA tour we had tickets to see Bruce in Hartford. We decided to make a night of it and stayed at the hotel attached to the Civic Center. It was me my wife and my 10 year old son who at the time was taking piano lessons. We checked into the hotel and I bought my son a Born In The USA song book.
Walking back to our rooms this maniac almost runs us over pushing a bicycle thru the lobby. I hung back a little to check out a couple of girls and my wife and son went ahead. When I turned the corner to where the elevators are both my son and wife were standing with their mouths open looking in at the elevator.
Just as I turned the corner I heard a familiar voice say "Are you coming in?"
It was Bruce, with his bike. We rode up the elevator with him. He was a really nice. Signed my son's book. I told Bruce he played piano and Bruce said he could use him in the band and patted him on the head.
Nick grew up to go to the Berkley College of Music and is a struggling musician today.
The autograph is framed and hangs over his keyboard. And he has GA tickets to second Boston Show.
Have seen Bruce many times. I never saw a bad show.
