Big play on first game of play offs

Over 7 runs total

St.Louis when a roaddog of between +175 and +200, 6 out of 7 (85.7%) games have gone over the total. This is further supported by when St.Louis have shut out an opponent this year they are 5 from 7 (71.4%) over total runs.
Arizona at home when the total runs is 7 or less, 12 out of 16 (75%) have gone over the total this year.
For the D'Backs to have these totals posted either Johnson or Shilling must have been on the mound. Their ERA's this year are not as prolific as last year.

I cant see why this play should be supported at the under (-125).
By playing the over we are betting +110 for a situation that should be -300.
WHAT VALUE !!

Bulldog, not saying youre wrong just wanting to add to this. I don't know if those trends carry as much weight in the playoffs. Its a totally different game when it comes to this time of the year. I never bet blindly but if i was ever forced to it would be to play all unders in the playoffs. Just my opinion and I wish you luck.

Forecast is for a high of only 89 there so the dome should be open; the ball carries much better when the BOB is open.

On the course!
layinwood is dead on.

Different story in the playoffs.

RJ will be throwing smoke, and Morris will keep the beat, as well.

This game will stay under, with room to spare.

Big Unit means big under

Big Unit means big under

Trends.... schmends.....

I'll consider a trend of nothing but Randy Johnson outings, but not just in general. I'd take under 5 in this game big even.

STL/ARIZONA UNDER 7

Great call Bulldog

Great call Bulldog

Was leaning towards the under, especially since all the games were high scoring today, until I read your thread. Great call and great research.
I am still amazed at sooo many people that buck trends? That's what this game is all about. I don't say "to hell with that trend that Pedro Martinez wins 85% of his games, it's only a trend."
Again great research and great call. You made me money.

Congratulations British Bulldog on your solid handicapping of this game.As soon as I saw the infamous non-betting public emertus barge into your thread to correct you,I was sure you were on the right side.yyz, you know you aren't backing your opinion with any dough, and I'll bet you didn't reseach this game for 5 minutes. Why mess with a guy who is obviously betting real moneyand putting the work into it thats needed to be a success?

Great job Bulldog, glad you won. I took a big right across the face with the unders all missing yesterday. There was no way I thought that RJ would give up more than a few runs.

Good luck to you today.
