In the 8th Race at Laurel the horse is -Root With Style- . Has been training like a bear which includes a good bullet workout in latest work and galloped out strong. In his last race Root With Style went to the lead which is not his style of running and got beat after tiring on fast fractions. The horse that won that race is Magic Weisner and he is in this race also ,no knocks on Magic Weisner he is a good horse and the morning line favorite. Root With Style will go back to his normal running style here and should fire a good one at a somewhat decent price. May be able to turn the tables on Magic Weisner who will be the chalk here. So I am going to wheel Root With Style First and Second since this is a short field of only 6 horses. But will put a much bigger wager on a Root With Style and Magic Weisner exacta box. Good Luck Do with this what you will. Dont forget Dale Capuano uses the magic juice on all his horses and Root With Style will be on it Saturday!! ;)

Just one more note on the above post

I still love Root With Style but here is something to think about. Linda Albert trainer of Magic Weisner also in this race has stated that her horse Magic Weisner could be her Kentucky Derby horse if he continues to improve. We will have to see on that one. Just a little food for thought.:nono:

Sorry Fellow Handicappers

Sorry Fellow Handicappers

Well guys Root With Style laid an egg on me and ran 3rd in a 5 horse field. Maybe Magic Weisner is the real deal. Wasted too much cash on a potentially short priced exacta. Well there will be plenty of races in the future you can bet on that. Till next time.

What do you do for this stable again? Just wondering. I have few friends who train, own, at Oaklawn Park....know anyone in that area? I have found that trainers give out "hopeful" info. You know; the works look brilliant, but that does not neccessarily equate to great race form.

Anyway, I just try and handicap the pace, speed, etc. and take connection info as it ties to the handicapping.....

Just interested your take on the "home team" information as it plays out. Cause there is rarely a trainer who thinks his horse has no chance, otherwise they would not be there in the first place.....I will say, I love the "shipper info." Like a trainer who rarely enters horses at a particular track, and ships them in for a specific race (ex: Golden Gate to Santa Anita).

Hey Slew

Hey Slew

Slew my brother is a groom for Dale Capuano at Laurel in Maryland. By the way Root With Style bled yesterday and flipped his palate during the race might have gotten second. I know excuses excuses. I just get info from time to time when a horse is training well or feeling good. Have gotten alot of winners from my brother in the past.
