Here's a preview of Tuesday's game between the Dallas Stars and Chicago Blackhawks.

About the Stars

The Stars fell 2-1 Saturday at St. Louis. That loss coupled with Colorado's 5-4 overtime win over San Jose on Sunday knocked the Stars out of the playoff race.

"I think you sensed it a little bit with our group today, at least I sensed it on the ice. They didn't have a lot of life and energy and that's to be expected," Stars coach Marc Crawford said after the team's practice on Monday. "It is what it is and we'll move forward here. There are things we can play for in the last three games. Mike Modano is certainly going to give us lots of energy and lots to talk about. And the fact that we're getting to see a few people in these last few games, while it's not ideal, it's always something where you can look forward and ahead."

Matt Climie, called up from Texas of the AHL last week, will start in goal for Dallas.

Injuries: RW Krys Barch (leg) and C Tom Wandell (knee) are out.

About the Blackhawks
The Blackhawks beat Calgary 4-1 Sunday, clinching the Central Division. It was Chicago's first division title since they won the Norris Division in 1992-93.

?I?d be lying to you if I said it wasn?t our goal at the start of the year,? Chicago forward Patrick Kane said. ?It was been long time coming. I was 4 years old the last time we won the division. It?s a good accomplishment, but it?s not really the accomplishment you want. The big goal is the big award at the end of the year.?

The Blackhawks have won three straight games.

Injuries: D Brian Campbell (collarbone) and D Kim Johnsson (upper body) are out.
