Bluegrass!
and take the San Francisco 49ers 2-Night! Multitude of reasons, here are just a few......

Barber is game time decision, which means Dayne will get a good % of the carries tonight. He hasn't impressed me the least bit....

Huge factor in the fact that Dusty Zeigler, Giants starting center, is injured and WILL NOT play tonight. Offensive chemistry should be a problem for them tonight...

Hilliard continues to have a nagging shoulder injury...

Giant's LBs Barrow & Short are banged up as well, and the NINERS have a guy by the name of Garrison Hearst who should have a pretty easy time gobbling up yardage.

Jason Sehorn continues to be plagued by a nagging knee injury...

49ers return 20-22 players from a 12-4 season last year. "I don't think your whole season can hinge on the first two weeks, regardless of what happens," Collins said. "You look at the Patriots last year and they started 1-3. Who'd have thought after four weeks that they were going to be Super Bowl champs."

Probably nobody. But the 49ers probably consider themselves Super Bowl contenders with an explosive offense led by quarterback Jeff Garcia, running back Garrison Hearst, receiver Terrell Owens and a young defense that recorded three shutouts in the final six weeks of the 2001 season.

In two seasons since becoming the No. 1 quarterback following Steve Young's retirement, Garcia led the NFL with 63 touchdown passes and made the Pro Bowl twice. He's only 6-1 and 195 pounds, but can take a hit.

Containing Owens, who had 93 catches for 1,412 yards and 16 touchdowns last season, yet still wanted more, will be a problem for the Giants. New York will start two second-year players -- Will Allen and Will Peterson at the corner positions -- while top cornerback Jason Sehorn is relegated to the nickel back role due to soreness in his surgically repaired knee.

Giants running back Tiki Barber missed the final preseason game with a sore hamstring and is listed as questionable for Thursday.
But the biggest concern for coach Jim Fassel Thursday should be the offensive line. With center Dusty Zeigler out with a nagging knee injury, Luke Petitgout is the only returning starter, and even he is making a switch from right to left tackle.
Blocking the likes of defensive tackle Bryant Young and edge pass rushers Andre Carter and Julian Peterson could be a major problem for this revamped line.

NIners with the better talent and overall better team. Anything is possible, but 8 out of 10 times I say the 49ers get the victory. I'm predicting a 31-7 or 31-10 game...
