who will be the hero tonight for espn, bonds, mcguire, kent, edmonds ???

morris killer at home, 6-1 0.90 era, 8-4 2.50 era overall. last 3, 20.2 inn, 2.61 era, 1-1.

ortiz 2-3 4.04 era on the road, team is 2-5 in his 7 road starts. overall hes 8-4 3.42 era. only 15.2 inn last 3 with a 3.45 era. this guy is hot at home and cold as hell on the road.

I had an initial nod to SF but Morris has not shown any chinks in his armor. I don't want to lay -60 on StL either. Flashbacks of 'cashing' my ticket on the yanks last Sunday in top of 8th. I think the play here is the over. Smells too much like an under...

For what it is worth I suck at picking StL games, for or against. My initial lean towards SF should make STL backers feel good

SF made my worth looking at list today. I'm not playing them but I sure wouldn't fade them. So far today the plays are 3-0 and I passed on Ari and Balt because of it. Hope this helps.

SWAMI has some pretty mean stats for STL and OVER at the FREE PICKS section. Biggest difference between tonite's and last weeks's game, was METS were at home, a dog, and looking to avoid a sweep. PLUS, inter-city rivalry and rematch of WORLD SERIES... lots of bad blood last week.

Tonite's game is more of a showcase of BONDS VS BIG MAC, and hot home pitcher vs a cold road pitcher... I like STL -150 alot, which scares me. I think they win this game easily.

FINAL 7-3 is my call!!

Fantastic baseball weather, Ortiz coming off of 113, and 112 pitch count while giving up no ER's last 2 outings. Ortiz is a good pitcher but performs poorly on the road. For Ortiz to have 3 straight solid outings while on the road, against the cards no less, is a little too much to ask, IMHO, especially on national TV. The Cards lost the 1st game of the series, and stole the 2nd game, my feelings is that they get their shit together in tonite's game. Also got a strong tip from an old friend on the over. -150 is a bit of a chalk, but this game is no more riskier than the Yanks, DBacks, BoSox, A's, Dodgers, and at a lower price at that. At -150, 160 I feel it's pretty justified. That being said,
