So if I place a wager on total bases by a particular player, do walks count as a base? I know that a hit by pitch is not counted as a walk, but not sure how a walk is graded when it comes to a toal bases wager.

Thanks for any input.

I would guess that walks would not count.. when total bases are computed for a player in baseball parlance, only hits are included (1 for a single, 2 for a double, etc)

from betjamaica rules page:

Players Props
- Listed Pitchers and both Players must start the game for action.
- Most Total Bases - Single = 1 base, Double = 2 bases, Triple = 3 Bases, Home Run = 4 Bases, (Walk, Errors, Hit by Pitch, Passed Ball and Balk do not count.)
- On all player props, the player must throw one pitch or have at least one plate appearance for action.
- Listed Pitchers must start for any Player props to have action, and the game Must go 9 Innings (unless home Team leading after 8? Innings)
- MLB.com will be used for grading purpose.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: "IE, you are the man!"

Thanks Brother

Definately comes into play today.

I have Ramirez vs. Delgado in total bases and Delgado has 3 walks.
