Suicide, murderous acts humanity continues to perpetrates upon its self can never be rectified or brought to justice by retaliatory acts similar in nature. While we grieve over our brothers and sisters unjustifiably (as if any murder is justifiable) murdered in Tuesday?s attacks we can never achieve a sustainable justice by committing to similar acts.

As the self-imposed leader of the free world, America should carefully reconsider what appears to be promised a very expensive retaliatory military campaign, which will ultimately cost additional American bloodshed as well as further incite similar future retaliatory terrorist acts. Stopping bloodshed, not continuing it, is the test of true humanitarian leadership.

Lets lead the focus upon making our world a more harmonious, humane and peaceful place to live?not continue the agony and anguish always associated with committing deadly force. The time has come to lead by an example the rest of the world can envy and follow?one of peace?not the continuation of murderous acts.

However, I fear that we will unfortunately continue similar unjustifiable acts, while stripping away our own freedoms, shedding our own blood and burdening us all with the additional costs of a false security. As the out of control evils we believe are directed upon others are only imposed upon ourselves.

?Those who sacrifice their liberties for the promise of security deserve neither.? -Benjamin Franklin
